That was a good decision, certainly not a robbery.

Teddy Atlas is a man of high intgrity and high moral values.

What other broadcaster would do that, none.

Atlas was completely correct and called out corrupt judging in boxing.
He , as far as I know, is the first to do it on national television,so emphatically.

It needed to be done, and corrupt , and/or blind judges , judges who dont know **** about boxing, need to go. All of them, not just one or two.

Decision bad or not, Atlas did what he wanted, made him self topic.

Look at his history, he is a hypocrite. Take all the times he said "We can't have these fighters from states with no commissions, North Carolina and Virginia, coming on FNF with build to records, built up in states with no commissions, where fighters are not properly scrutinized...." OK, but as he would say it, he would be preparing to take Elvir Muqui, his fighter at time, to North Carolina or some state he had condemned for a fight! Look at Shannon Briggs record under Atlas, all opponents from these states with no commissions.

Boxer safety and integrity of sport? When he got povetkin, Atlas set up exhibition bout that was like a real fight, and who did he choose? Bruce Seldon, who was under a medical suspension. He tried to hush it up, but one reporter was there wrote of it, an word got out. Since Teddy is long time friend of most writers, it led to nothing, no scandal.

Atlas has, and still will, pull more **** than anyone in boxing, while condeming it on tv if others show a hint of doing same. Even close fights, that are sometimes scored differently by his co host and in studio guest, are called suspicious or worng by him. He is not out to help sport, he is out to promote self. And as usual, he has done so again, this thread being evidence of that.

Just watched it. Other guy deserved it, but it was closer than some are making. Cuban guy kept self in fight. Tessitore is now an official Atlas flunky.

Atas once had a guy almost get a decision so bad new york state changed scoring rules, Teddy always voids mentioning that (Chris Reid vs Fulgencio Obelmejias) Reid, who Atlas trained, looked like **** that night, like he was sick going into ring. . He got clobbered, knowcke down several times, got knocked across ring at one point, was held up by ropes. He was knocked down and had it called slip, and was getting killed in 10th round when MickY Duff jumped in to stop it (He was Reid manager) Turns out judges had Reid ahead!!!!! Atlas tried to say it was correct scoring.

He is still openly campaigning for some sort of national commission spot.

How can people criticise teddy for his reaction when they didn't even watch the whole fight? When guys like teddy kick off like that it keeps judges on there toes an maybe a bit reluctant to favour the promoters fighter, hometown fighter.the decision was a joke, try watching the whole fight.

Atlas is like a broken record. His repetitive rants are boring and self serving.Time to give this maniac a respite in the local mental institution where he may have a more receptive audiance.:nut

it was obvious who was the network favorite in the fight, you see this is why Networks such as HBO and Showtime should not be allowed to sign long term contracts with fighters, one fight at a time is good enough.

However though ESPN does not really sign long term deals that I know of what they did do and this does have an effect on you the viewer is they showed only the Afghanistan kids story

Nothing on the other guy, and this was a story that leads the viewer to like the guy if they know nothing about him or very little about him, it ties you to him emotionally you feel bad due to this kids up bringing in Afghanistan, his father dying at the hands of a Russian rocket etc... and knowing the history of the Taliban and Afghanistan it hits home a bit suddenly this guy is a Victim of circumstance and before the fight has started you have already chosen a side.

Then as the fight developed you have Teddy and the ring side experts giving their "OPINION" on how they think the fights moving, dont get me wrong kid got back into the fight no doubt took the jab away and kept himself from being out boxed.

but there were some close rounds there that could have gone either way and being in Miami, rather than Canada facing a Known Cuban talent, you have to do a little more to separate yourself in close rounds that didnt happen which is why we got the decision we got.

Teddy over reacted again as always admirable but sometimes its **** like that to that leads viewers into thinking we saw something that we did not.

he was just pissed off at seeing another robbery and on the 1st show of the year there was no way in hell that cuban won that fight... what's the point in having judges if they cant call the fight imo all judges should be held accountable for the calls they make it dont matter if its a gym show or a world title fight they have to be held accountable,,, good on teddy for calling them out some one has to take a stand...

Not really something to brag about. And he's a drama queen it doesn't have **** to do with the sport because he does it every fight that is scored differently then he had it.
