    I mean, even just based on extant films of both it has the makings of excellent viewing on paper...

    I bet there is some misanthropic old miser out there sitting on a sole copy of the film in a dusty attic bin he's told no one about.

    I really can't stand the hoarders who have classics from past eras but don't publicize them for posterity by sharing on Youtube or something. (whether it is to keep then as fanily heirlooms or turn a buck off them, or hang on to then for trading with equally stingy miserable ****s with no intention to disseminate.) Death by torture would suit them.

    I know that Conn took a while before he started to dominate Gus. He lost the first 5 rounds or so then quick fooling around and took the fight.

    Yeah those would be savagery and the Yarosz fights would be a display of the sweet science and technical brilliance on par with anything ever shown inside a ring.

    Those two fights with Billy ruined Fred Apostoli as a fighter.

    He surrendered his title to Cefereno Garcia in a listless performance.

    I asked Tim Conn. Here is his response:

    Doug: The only fights that were filmed were the Louis fights and the first Bettina fight. I do have a tape of my father and Apostoli being introduced in the ring, dressed in suits before a fight in MSG. Too bad more of his fights weren't filmed. I feel if more people saw his style he would b appreciated a lot more. especially the Apostoli fights. They were two of the hardest and most action packed fights ever. I have the radio broadcast of both fights and they are great.

    An entire ATG career spanning from lightweight all the way up, lost to the ages. :verysad In a generation's time there won't be anyone left alive who can say they've seen any but three bouts out of 76 (six of them for world titles, and a dozen against the most excellent light heavies of the day).
