    Pacquiao didn't see either coming.

He thought he was out of range for the first, and got crushed with a haymaker.

He walked into a Martinez-Williams II type bomb for the second. Paul Williams was another ironchinned fighter, knocked cold by one bomb from a smaller guy.

When you lunge into a fully leveraged power shot, you go to sleep. Period.

Nothing strange about the result. You can see that Marquez was getting closer in the last 3 fights while Pacs stamina, hunger, and movements were clearly declining.. Again a KO win by Marquez is really not that surprising. Time for Pacman to retire.

He walked right into an overhand...
The problem is not his chin, nor Marquez his power it's that he walked into an overhand.

He didn't see that punch coming and he got caught flush.
    **** happens.

Give credit to Marquez for knocking out the nr 2 p4p fighter when trailing on the score cards and with a broken nose.

Alert: That was no flash KO. That's like saying Hatton was flash KO'd.

    To the OP:

    Have you seen the hit?

    Damn...

It's not about weak chin or super power....

I agree with that assessment for the KO punch. But not the first knockdown . I don't believe Pac would have been knocked down by that punch a few years ago. He's taken that same shot from Marquez, and he's taken bigger shots from bigger fighters. I believe the wars have taken their toll.

Not all punches are the same. PAC hasn't taken that clean of a right hand from as good a right hand hitter since Morales besides Jmm.

PAC was also being hit a ton before the KO punch. He got hit with it moments before even.

In that video he hits Pac flush in the chin, making Pac jump backwards. Although it hit him flush, appears he saw it coming at the last second.

On this knockdown he cleans the whole left side of Pac's face with his punch while Pac lowers his left hand.

I think a better comparison to the shot would be in the first fight. Hits Pac with almost an identical punch, landed on same spot and everything. Big difference being Marquez went through a far better strength and conditioning program this time and trained for the KO, not to counter punch to a victory. Marquez was putting more on his shots this fight, and it showed.

The Martinez/Williams comparison is a really good one.

    Neither.

Peach of a counter right. Everything about it was perfect.
