People that say Floyd ducked Mosley were following boxing in 2009. Then when he signed months later, Mosley became shot :-(

I always find these posts odd. Floyd was calling Oscar and Mosley (and anyone else in the spotlight) out from his days at 130 and 135, but those guys wouldn't give him a shot. Then when Floyd finally gets his shot, the opposition isn't prime. How's that Floyd's fault?

The only fighter, of this era, that comes to mind with a superior resume is Hopkins.

Floyd called Mosley/DLH out for years...YEARS before either of them were willing to fight him. They chose to wait until they were "past-prime". Oh, and it wasn't until after the fights that people decided they were past-prime :rofl

As I said in other posts, Floyd (for some reason) gets all the blame for the fight not happening. Pac didn't want to take blood tests. There's literally zero excuse for that, zero. Then he needs nine months for a cut to heal, then he wants an outdoor stadium... I mean wtf?

If Pac wanted to fight Floyd as badly as he claimed, he could've done two things:

    1. Refuse to fight anyone else except Floyd
    2. Not resign with Top Rank. Notice how Cotto's first fight after Top Rank was Floyd? Interesting "coincidence"

    Pac never wanted the fight.

    Yeah.

    I agree

    Yeah.

    This right here.

Sometimes I really wonder how long these people have been watching boxing. Mayweather had been calling out Mosley and DLH since his early career.

Fact, HBO (Lampley, Merchant, Jones Jr.) laughed at the idea of Floyd challenging Shane or Oscar back when he was a lightweight. And now people are saying Mayweather waited? Please.... And Floyd was calling them out AT WELTERWEIGHT back then as well. (Willing to jump 2 weight classes. Just a side note for you idiot *******s)

He knew he could take those guys, way back then. And THEY KNEW IT TOO. That's why Mayweather didn't fight Mosley and Oscar in their "prime." Mayweather was much too dangerous of a fight for them. High Risk, Low Reward.

The first Castillo fight is the only 'could have gone either way' type fight in his career. The last time I saw it, I thought it was a draw, but you can make a case for both fighters. Castillo got to Mayweather's body in a way that no other opponent has managed.

I've always considered him a hybrid of Jones and Hopkins, the missing link if you will.

Almost as athletically gifted as Jones
    Almost as smart as Hopkins

Combined then that is one hell of a fighter.

    I agree.

And while a case could easily be made for Castillo, Mayweather did quite easily sweep the first 5 rounds. Tough to tell me that Mayweather didn't win a single one of the remaining 7. I've scored this fight 7-5 twice and 6-6 once.

Once you look at the QUALITY of the opponents, the ratings don't really hold weight. There wasn't much quality and the ones that did, were past their best. Obviously, you still have to give credit to Floyd for winning the fights. There is no question, he is one of the all-time greats. A very complete boxer but his resume has always been overrated IMO.
