Marquez is Greater Than Pacquiao

    Like I asked in the OP, shouldn't Marquez be awarded for longevity??

    Every other Great Fighter is.

    longevity? If he is fighting top guys. I rate greatness by who did you beat. Manny's resume is much much much deeper than Marquez. And Marquez lost easily to Floyd. If you put Marquez over Pacman, then you have to put Floyd over both.

    In no way can you compare Antonio Tarver and Roy Jones to Pacman and Marquez.... 4 different individuals were talking here. Come on son.

    Marquez lost to Mayweather in every round. Manny beat most guys he fought. Mayweather didn't want to fight him, you cannot fault Manny for that.

    You're joking right? Pac shut barrera out in the rematch while Barrera gave marquez all he could handle and got robbed of a knockdown.

    He should be rewarded, and he is. Everybody acknowledges the fact that he's a truly great fighter. But he shouldn't be rewarded to the extent that you're asking for here. Just because you beat the man, it doesn't make you the man.

    I'd love to say Marquez is greater, but honestly I'd have to say Pac is in accomplishments

    I agree. I honestly think if Pacman has a level 10 in accomplishments, JMM has about a 5 or 6.. It is that much of discrepancy.
