You have it backwards...your head should tell you DeJesus...but your heart wants Mancini. Boom Boom gets ridiculously overrated here. DeJesus was Duran's greatest opponent at lightweight, outside of Buchanan. How in the hell does Mancini "wear down", or even come close to beating DeJesus? Do you think, for that matter, that Mancini would have beaten Buchanan as well?

my heart doesn't want anyone with a mullet, or who would lose to a man in a big gold nappy.
perhaps i give mancini more credit for up to the arguello fight than he desrves, i don't think he was quite the same after, but i do like his fights ive seen up to then.
I am a bigger fan of dejesus but he was in there to fight and that plays to mancini's strength, over 12 i would go dejesus but imo mancini was tougher and had more stamina.

i have only seen a couple of buchanan's big fights so i dunno on that one

how hard do you think dejesus hits? he put people down but i'm not sure its gonna stop mancini?

dejesus on points is a fine result to me but i wouldn't bet on this fight.

DeJesus put Duran on his ass twice...you're saying that he couldn't do the same to the much lesser Mancini???? See how crazy this is???

One thing DeJesus could do amazingly well was counterpunch. One thing Mancini is open to is being counterpunched. Ray has his moments and never loses heart, but DeJesus tears him to shreds. His counters rip Mancini wide open for a late rounds TKO stoppage.

You will likely take some **** for this one....DeJesus was a Duran opponent (and one who beat him), so to have him lose to what is seen as a lesser opponent would mean that Duran's legacy might take a hit (and it should not...it is a styles thing)...

I see it the same way, and think Ray takes this one...We might be alone, but it is cool being in the minority anyway.

I think this could be a really good fight and close I had a couple of out comes in mind

1, mancini does win by very close decision in a real hard fight mancini I see as usual coming forward hitting the deck perhaps a couple of times during the fight (he is going to walk into so many shots) but he may well come on strong and finish the bettet of the two to take the decision

2,dejesus wins by stoppage late , in again a close fight mancini did swell and cut and for me anyway I can see having walked onto some many shots mancini is badly cut even eyes badly swollen forcing the ref/doctor to call a halt around the 13th round with Dejesus in his corner feeling very thankful that the fight has been halted

Dejesus smooth technical skills and heavy handed punching would eventually tear Mancini up.

he's not slow and leaden of foot lik Arguello, so won't be maneuvered for stretches by Mancini's bullrushes and awkward movement.

Think Bramble with much better chops. It would be really entertaining for a while, gradually become a beating and potential KO.

If Dejesus does get bothred by Mancini's aggression and strength, he can used his movement to get his breath back and control things on the outside for a few rounds.

Mancini was not slow, and was quick starter who kept up amazing pace. DeJesus would have trouble counter punching. Duran was flashier, and better boxer, but Mancini was more relentless.

This is what I came in to say. DeJesus counters powershots well, he picks a punchs and let's go.

Dejesus would counter Mancini to death and stop him. Not close.
