Wladimir has been given more chances to be popular in the States than any fighter I can remember. I don't know if you started watching boxing in the late 90's but the Wlad hype train was full blown. It was the very definition of hype. He was just as hyped as Michael Grant and after Grant got destroyed by Lewis. Wlad was even more hyped. Time after time they attempted to promote Wlad.. and time after time he let everyone down in various ways.

Got knocked out by Corrie Sanders and yet they still gave him chance. He then gets stopped by Lamon Brewster and they still promoted him. The HBO Broadcast of Peter-Wlad I? They made it sound like it was Ali-Frazier I, Only Letterman called it like "I've never seen so much holding" but Merchant replied: "No you are wrong, Wladimir never holds this much." They kept on giving Wlad chances all up until the Ibragimov fight which killed the Klitschko HBO Bond. Wlad was banned from NY and MSG after that disgraceful fight. He was also banned on HBO. Yet they gave him chance after chance, and once again against David Haye and he blew it again. Wlad has blown more chances on the HBO stage than any other fighter I can remember.

He literally struck out like 8 times, this is all his fault and his fault only.

HBO commentators Lampley, Merchant, Jones and Lederman were all bashing Haye and praising Wlad the whole fight. They all gave Wlad credit for dominating Haye.

Bitchtoe could retire tomorrow and only these clowns would notice or care. I must admit his interviews and delusional ramblings are good for a laugh but he's not all that relevant in the grand scheme of things.

Oh and if he fights Vitali it will be like the Wlad fight all over. Who wants to see him running, ducking, dodging and flopping all over the place for 12 rounds after months of talking pure ****? Not I.

 

Perhaps Klittards would rather Haye just stood against the ropes all fight like Kevin Johnson, or comes in so fat and out of shape that his knees give way from underneath him after one round like Solis, or perhaps you'd rather he just plodded around the ring face first with no defence, getting wobbled by jabs and looking at the ref to stop the fight after 6-7 rounds like Adamek, or perhaps you'd rather he was 40 years old with asthma, couldn't manage to punch and just acted as a punchbag for 12 rounds like Briggs.

Truth is Klittards ain't boxing fans and would sooner just watch the Klits fight against fat out of shape punch bags who plod around for a couple of rounds before falling over and declare it a great win than see them matched up with some one who can evade their punches and make then miss

That's the sad facts of the matter. Deal with it.

 

It's very true for most of them, as evidenced by their disgraceful lack of participation in threads about other fighers / other divisions. The hypocrisy of the bunch would be hilarious if it wasn't so tiring.
