I like the format of WSB more than pro.. its a breath of fresh air, but I dunno if it'll ever pick up enough steam to challenge the current format

Some interesting matches coming up this weekend. Mexico vs Russia, Germany vs Kazakhstan & Ukraine vs GB

Still no Lomachenko but Gvodyk & Usyk are in action.

Its going to be interesting to see how Usyk does against the big boys at superheavy. Uaine Fa is a big, powerful lad & is unbeaten (4-0) in the WSB.

I watched most of the 1st season, and a lil of the 2nd. None so far of the 3rd. I enjoyed the fights well enough I guess, but it was too hard to find them to watch em. And I hate watching after the fact.

This is why they've not caught on.

I guarantee, if major networks showed them live and promoted them it would draw in lots of casuals. As it is, not even many of us diehards bother with it. (and we do **** like wake up at 4am to watch Japanese cards on shitty Keyhole streams!!)

    Agreed.

It's suffered from a case of terminal disinterest.

    As diagnosed by Dr. Hugivsashitz.

If I remember right, it was on the Versus network. And that seemed to suffer from the same malady. I mean ESPN branch offs show horseshoes and cheerleading ffs. They couldn't get on this?

Excited to see Usyk at SHW but i don't expect Gvozdyk to be tested much with his opponent and disappointed that Lomachenko, Berinchyk and Khytrov aren't fighting. I don't understand why neither of their LW's (Lomachenko, Berinchyk) are.

Well having it all on their Youtube channel was a smart move and allows world wide access.

Perhaps they will feature next week against Kazakhstan? I know you cant fight 2 weeks in a row so maybe they are being held back for the next match.

Ive seen Gvozdyk & Usyk before, what are the rest of Friday's team like?

Rudenko is fighting at LW and the weight class is so deep for them im wondering why they're using their worst guy, there are 5 guys that are better.

At LW Ukraine has Lomachenko, Berinchyk, Kyslytsyn, Matvichuk who are all the top 60-64KG boxers along with 2 others not on the WSB team and have all lost/won against eachother, aside from Vasyl. Berinchyk who won Silver at Worlds and the Olympics actually finished 4th at the 2011 Nationals so its a very deep weight range. Ishchenko is decent but moving up in weight .....then Rudenko. The only time iv seen Rudenko was when Lomachenko totally outclassed him at the 2011 Nationals.

Stretsky is okay but at MW Khytrov and Mytrofanov are alot better and probably Golub too.

The only BW iv seen is Gogolev and i was impressed with him but i don't pay too much attention to BW tbh and Ilnytsky who is fighting is 0-2 so..
