Would much rather see him in with Pulev,Helenius doesn't bring much to the table other than a big punch.
Being realistic it'll probably be Towers, that Browne guy, maybe Chisora,Sherman Williams, never Fury and then onto Wlad. Get behind Fury Peter, for all the **** he talks he's wanting to fight the likes of Arreola,Adamek,Povetkin .... Briggs lol .. Fury has said a few times he'd like to beat the likes of Pulev aswell, and I think he'd get these fights.
That would be horrible preporation for Wlad, Pulev is probably the best contender out there but there is still a huge gulf between him and Wlad, unfortuneatly theres not really anybody out there who could prepare somebody for Wlad.
I agree mate, compared to the current crop Wlad is such a massive step up for anyone it's quite ridiculous to be fair.A fight with Pulev would be great,he'd seriously test Price IMO.
I don't really like his last few opponents, gotta be said. But, the fact is...he is a few years away from being ready to fight a Klitschko at the rate fighters tend to fight. The fact is, his last few fights have been Skelton and Audley whether we like it or not. To go in with Klitschko with that sort of preparation is preparing to get beat. What we'd all like to see would be a good, solid step up in competition. Let's see if he can beat the Pulev's of this world.
Agreed, Price vs Pulev would be 50/50 imo, can see Pulev as a future beltholder. (not by beating Wlad though)
Exactly, it's a load of ****ing bollocks everything comes out of Maloney's mouth. If they were putting him in there with people who could conceivably last more than 2 rounds I'd buy this whole "learning process" angle, but they're not. YES I know he's fighting Thompson next, but you just know after that it's gonna be Sprott or Towers or someone similar to that level, someone who's basically gonna fall over as soon as Price hits them so everyone can leave the Arena talking about his devastating punching power and all that bollocks. Basically, Maloney is just trying to milk a few quid out of Price before he steps him up JUST INCASE he gets battered. And Price seems happy to go along with it :verysad
This is literally modern boxing matchmaking- Just look at the following guys who are undefeated just waiting for a title shot without having fought a top 20 guy- M. Scott 35-0 --Pro for 12 years D. Rodriquez 36-0 ---Pro for 14 years D. Wilder 26-0 ---Pro for 4 years (He isnt as bad and still youg) J. Hanks 21-0 ---Pro for 5 years F. Pianenta 28-0-1 -- Pro for 8 years D. Boystov 31-0 ---Pro for 9 years Everyone of them has a huge unbeaten record, been a professional fighter for a considerable amount of time, all have the ability to contend with a top 20 guy and yet not one has even chanced it yet.
