No one is buying Mayweather PPVs to see Canelo beat on overmatched opponents. lol. I'm not that big of a Floyd fan, but the hate is absolutely delusional.

It doesn't matter. People aren't paying to see Floyd fight someone. They are paying to see Floyd fight.

:lol: You're not getting a guarantee to fight Mayweather in September. Just step up and fight Trout. If you want to fight him on a different date, do that.. But with them talking about being able to defend in Mexico I HIGHLY doubt he's fighting a top 10 154 fighter, sure as **** isn't going to be Trout. But his fans, by all means keep on acting like the issue here is Mayweather not guaranteeing a future fight with Canelo and not Canelo refusing to fight a real 154 fighter.. Which Mayweather isn't by the way.

Exactly! Some people are delusional. If Golden Boy thought people were buying Mayweather fights to see Canelo, why have Mayweather on the card? Why guarantee Mayweather $40mil?

Canelo hasn't even headlined a PPV event yet, but he somehow has bargaining powers? The guy is on Floyd's undercards as a concession to Golden Boy not Floyd.

Floyd should be Canelo's favorite fighter. Dude is like Santa Claus to Canelo.

Canelo just wants to prove he's the best WW in the WORLD. How can you fault him for that?

Why this whining, you think Pac JMM 5 is a lackluster matchup?

Kind of a ***** move, to be honest. You don't get an extra reward for doing what you're supposed to do. Fighting Trout is a natural step up for a young champion who's been beating out-matched opponents for the last couple of years. It's smart in a way to try and secure a Floyd fight, but that fight hardly should have been on the table in the first place.

Mayweather fans love to say he beat the best guy at 154. 2x 154 champ, #1 in Ring, espn, every other ranking at 154 right now. There shouldn't be a size/confidence problem in facing the biggest hypejob in boxing in the division he's #1 in.

There are levels of Mexi-****, that I simply don't agree with. Giving Canelo a pass for holding hostage a fight that would be a large step in legitimizing his championship reign at 154, just for a pay day, is pure ***gotry.

What gurantees does Canelo have that Mayweahter will fight again at 154lbs? I mean, Mayweather can fight at 154lbs but will he be willing to go there again?

Canelo is willing to fight Trout only IF a fight with Mayweather is GURANTEED. So if NO TROUT, THEN NO MAYWEATHER, then who the **** is Canelo going to fight then on another date? Let me guess....Maidana? :patsch Lucas Matthysse? Or how about Angulo in Mexico since Angulo looked like **** in his last fight? :-(

Canelo....a ranked JMW who has not fought a ranked JMW :yep
