Never thought I would be asking this question, but it appears Hearn is doing all he can to make this happen.
It seems the silence from the Kessler camp is deafening.
Does he fancy it? I know he beat Froch fair n square, but Froch was not at his best that night. Kessler did also get a serious injury from that fight, so maybe he is a little wary of stepping back in the ring with him.

    This fight has to happen!

I think all parties want the fight bit there's an obvious issue somewhere, which I'm guessing is down to the IBF and WBA.

I'm surprised it has taken this long. Hearn appears to be putting public pressure on Kessler and his team.

Massive disappointment if it doesn't happen. This fight in Nottingham would be huge. Throw in the fact Stevenson isn't fit to lace Froch's boots and Carl may not build on the momentum of 2012.

Carl believes he sent him into that semi retirement so he will think so . I think the fight will happen and Froch wins IMO.

If it does happen I doubt it will in Nottingham. My money would be on Manchester.

Tbh though, I wouldn't mind seeing him put a beating on Stevenson, given his past.

I am keeping everything crossed that it does! I'll be there wherever they fight.

This is looking to be the case unfortunately. Hopefully they can get the fight on and announced sometime very soon (Eddie Hearn said today that he thinks there's a 60-40 chance of the fight happening).

Kessler's side certainly appear the one throwing up the road blocks. I think it's probably because he (Kessler) wants too much money. Hearn said himself that if they're going to be able to afford to bring the likes of Kessler and Ward over to the UK then they'll need Sky to bring back PPV. Perhaps that's what the problem is? Sky know that PPV is a HUGE gamble for them, it could fall flat on it's arse so they're very reluctant to do it.

Kessler wants more money than Hearn can provide.. Hearn is offering 50/50 because apparently Froch and Matchroom bring 70% of the total money. I smell bull**** from Edward there. They will claim Kessler ducked after offering him a bum deal and fight Stevenson, Grachaev, maybe Bute, then go out with a bang against Quillin.

    why do you smell bull****?

    1) Sky PPV trumps German & Danish TV money.
    2) The biggest arena in Denmark is 10,000 and seats are 1/2 of the cost. In the UK it sells out the MEN/02.
    3) Theres more sponsorship money in the UK.
    4) US TV are more likely to show a fight in the UK than Denmark.

  15. what injury did kessler recive from the froch fight ....

the one he had was an eye injury sustained in the ward fight via punches and headbutts

ain't kessler ducking no one, he knows what he's worth and he knows carls value so they just haggling over £££

the bbc have an article up saying froch is gonna give up the IBF title to fight for his 4th title , but ward is WBA champ
