Burns V Khan @ 140

Discussion in 'British Boxing Forum' started by Anaboilc lion, Jan 10, 2013.

  1. There have been a few 'rumours' about this fight happening next for both fighters.

What are peoples opinion on the the fight itself and the outcome ?

It would be a great fight. A real Battle of Britain because justifiably both fighters would be confident of winning.

I'd slightly favour Ricky in all honesty but it would be fascinating to see.

Khan would use Ricky's face as a speedball.

Ricky could win that fight IMO, even at 140lbs. Ricky's a big kid, he'd do the weight fine I reckon.

Khan has speed and decent power but Burns has proved he has great heart and underrated boxing skills.

Khan would do the same thing he ALWAYS does. He jumps on his opponent quickly and tries to overwhelm them. If this doesn't work then he goes into default mode and just hits and runs for the rest of the fight.

Burns has good power too (his KO record deceives) and a great boxing brain. He'd definitely make it hard for Khan to get his shots off. If it did happen then no one could accuse Burns of ducking big fights. A fight with Khan would be even bigger than a fight with Broner (here in the UK anyway).

Come on, you'd favour Ricky over Floyd Mayweather. Silly man.

He simply wouldn't be allowed to jump all over Ricky and Ricky's speed IMO every bit as good as amirs that's we're amir will struggle

HAHAHAHAHAHA. Amir is MUCH faster than Ricky. You're deluded, mate.

You should at least consider as a genuine possibility Billy. The only decent fight for Ricky at LW is Broner. If you're not going to fight him then just move up because no one's interested in seeing Burns face people like Walsh and Ocampo or any other chip shop workers that Allegedly lines up for his fighters.
