What, prime Tszyu that lost to Vince Phillips? Or the actual prime one that'd had about five or six fights and wasn't as muscular and strong as he'd need to be to withstand Ricky (probably)

Tszyu, gifted, massive puncher don't get me wrong, but in terms of his fights, reign and the way he applied himself I don't buy into him being in the mix for 'best ever' 10 stone fighters.

Tough matchup for maussa imo. I mean he is very wild and unorthodox but he don't have the chin is saensek imo. One of them has to drop and my money would be on it being maussa. I mean is there anything maussa did better?

He had a decent ability to land hard shots no matter where he was in the ring and he did very respectable grinding down Harris but he never really showed any world class skill to the level of his world ranking.

The division is really, really deep if you take into account both official and unofficial 140lbs fighters. Ike Williams, for instance, might have smashed Hatton.

Oh god yeah if we're to include every fighter in history who fought around the 140 mark, Hatton is nowhere near a top ten. Miles off the pace infact.

When doing lists like this I only include people who had an impact in the official division. Just makes it cleaner.

Going over to Korean to win the title, by devastating finish no less, against a fighter who was no great shakes but did stop iron chinned, iron fisted monster Muangsurin, the good Sang-Hyun Kim, most known for losing to Aaron Pryor in a dreadful bout past the Korean's best.

I only have highlights I'm afraid but check out Mamby's jab and the deadly finish, something not associated with defensive master (experienced spoiler) Mamby. but I also uploaded Kim's title winning fight against Muangsurin in pretty shoddy quality if you care to look (you're looking into the light welterweight division, check it out)

As for defences (not really lineal so, unless you roll with my 'assumed' lineage and hey, ain't it all after a while just another contender) Mamby did become the only man not called Roberto Duran to stop De Jesus. The shell of him admittedly.

I mean that he had some decent defenses, but looking on his record nothing stands out to me. Subjective though. I mean De Jesus was passed it and it was his last fight. 5 defenses is good no doubt, but Tszyu is much better at that weight IMO. Like I said lists are subjective.

    Might?

Berg Vs Ricky would've been such an easy fight on the eye, aesthetically pleasing to **** and all that. What an image. What a fantasy (is quite an erotic image when you really contemplate it, don't you think? Like Olly Reed in front of the fireplace)

You're looking on his record. Tell me, without clicking on their records, about Mamby's opposition please. What has 'number of defences' got to do with it? Do you only count a fighters record in title defences? Especially considering the consensus is that he was robbed in Thailand against the aforementioned Caveman Monster hybrid Saensak.
