I agree with your previous point about the necessity of the division.

Should have kept it with the lflw division at lowest, I dont think there's ever been a strawweight unification fight and it's because there's no interest in the division.

Guys cutting a bit of extra weight to avoid decent fighters and then not fighting the best around.

Okay, I'm exasperating a bit (Ioka Vs Akira was good, in fact the latter was in a cracking scrap with a Thai as well) but would Niida have been a long reigning light or fly weight champ'?

Also, Vorapin wasn't great and was way past his best when Lopez smashed him. Hate it when that's brought up as a decent win, because that's the kinda' **** you need to clutch on to find one.

:nono Time may prove me wrong but Roman Gonzalez looks good. Didn't do much at Straw after his big win admittedly.

    You have a point.

I actually agree. How much can they make from sanctioning fees for title fights that have a 20 quid purse split 2 ways.

Just one of them nights. Chareon(?) was hit with everything and the kitchen sink and some plumbing parts Lopez found lying around. Tough kid.

    Lopez
    Alvarez
    Calderon
    Gonzalez
    Ioka

I'll mention Chana Porpaoin as being the only straw of worth that Finito missed during this run at 105. Decent enough boxer...not terribly gifted, but with enough skill and grit to enable him to probably last the distance with Lopez at any rate.

Ioka needs to rematch and clearly beat Yaegashi (who I had edging him) to get a spot IMO.

    Is his move up permanent?
