Ricky Burns facebook status saying "big fight will hopefully be announced soon"

Even if Burns loses he can come again, he'll still be among the top LW's and can get another shot in america if he shows a good account of himself. I think he'd the bigger man against Broner and at 29 will have more brute man strength and that could be a telling factor. He also has a good chin and we've not seen Broner take too many big shots either so who knows how he will react?

We've had it from the horses mouth (Billy) that Burns and not FW turned the fight down anyway as he wants more time, so for once I AM surprised that I can't really point the finger towards the rabbit hole.

If you read the posts from others there implying Ricky is only fighting domestic level opponents SHITE!
The only domestic rivals have been Nicky and Kevin,Nicky got injured which can happen to anyone anytime and Kevin was the WBO No1 contender at the time,lets face it many thought Kevin was going to beat Ricky with a bit to spare, now there chocking on there words and looking for wee sly digs at him.
Katsitas,Moses,Mitchell and Martinez are all excellent fighters,bottom line is mate i think people have a wee dig coz of a jealousy aspect

Ah well, if it's resorted to that, we will just have to adopt Adrian Broner as a fellow English man........but wait, that's pointless as the fight isn't going to happen whilst you have FVVanker as your manager & promoter.

I would like to see Ricky go to George Flemming who has been working with Harrison and get put into the shape of his life because i've always thought Ricky looks in good shape, but probably not the absolute best he could and he will need everything stacked in his favour if Wank actually puts him in with Broner.
