90% Chance Vitali Fights Again - Likely Against Haye

aye well good speech man, but that's not what i asked. come on man, who is the biggest fight for vitali right now?? it's common sense.

nobody is talking about what anyone COULD achieve, cos that's not what sells fights, and brings in ppv numbers.

boxers, promoters and managers don't look at potential fights and think "wow, this is a massive fight cos this guy COULD be great" like i said, thats not what sells fights, and brings in the money, which boxing is all about these days.

and haye has been proven to bring in probably the highest ratings and ppv numbers in the division.

people want some of what haye can bring to the table, they are not silly.

and also, i think if vitali did beat haye, then that name would look far better on his resume than fury would.

like it or not mate, those are the facts.

fury has done nothing to even be considered as big a fight as haye.

so, regardless of what fury COULD or MAY bring to the table, it will be a while before he can even be considered a big draw, or can sell PPVs and bring in the numbers required to make a big fight a big fight.

The fight will never happen. Vitali's people want no part of Haye. David fights in a style too similar to Chris Byrd, who embarrassed and KOed Vitali in Germany. Vitali never asked for a rematch with Byrd, so what makes you think he'll get in the ring with Haye, who in the past few years has shown he can fight much better than Byrd in that same elusive style?

Haye walked away because of an injury. **** happens. And the only reason Vitali's people signed the fight is that Haye was fighting more like a slugger at the time, not like a slick boxer. Now they want no part of him. You'll see. The fight will not happen. This is just posturing. They have no intention of actually allowing Vitali to get put to sleep by David Haye.

Haye walked the first time and fought Valuev instead because he was assured a fixed decision if he ended up on his feet.

Haye walked the second time to fight Chisora instead.

Vitali has tried to make the fight you have proven your ignorance here.

Well, I'm speculating. In my mind this fight doesnt happen if Haye doesn't get Sky PPV. As I said before, IMO all that makes Haye attractive to K2 is the money he brings via PPV - I don't see any other reason why Vitali would fight him.

If that's not the case and Haye doesn't bring PPV and Vitali still wants the fight then Haye has to shut up and take whatever anyone else who isn't a mandatory for the WBC gets against Vitali. My point was just that (assuming Sky PPV are in for the fight) then you can't compare him to the previous opponents because non of them bought that kind of money to the table. I'm not even saying WITH PPV he deserves more than a 30% split, I'm just saying that charrr, Chisora, sosnowski, solis, Adamek etc are not valid comparisons in that scenario.

Also, It's not just wild speculation here, there is some theory behind it . Last year Eddie Hearn said he would love to make Froch - Kessler, but that would have to be a PPV fight to generate the right kind of money. Two days ago Eddie Hearn said he is working on that fight and that he has offered Kessler 50:50 down the middle, which is more than fair considering Froch is bringing the majority to the table. He said some people might scoff at this suggestion, but when the details of the fight come out people will see what he means. This to me suggests that Sky are back in PPV this year, as that is who Froch is contracted to.

I might well be wrong, by it is my estimation that Sky reopen their box office this year, so to speak. It has also been my opinion that getting a fight with Vitali is completely dependent on this, otherwise Haye is (at this stage in his career) as risky opponent with little more reward than the level of fighter Vitali has been fighting for the last couple of years.

You tell me I can't make assumptions about sky PPV and then you come out with utter nonsense like that, which is nothing more than compete speculation driven by your dislike of a personality someone portrays through the media to get and sell big fights. It's childish at best.

 

The decision in the Valuev fight was biased towards Valuev. He didn't land a decent punch all night, and yet Haye only won a majority decision. The fix was definitely in, but not in Haye's favour.

And Haye and Vitali agreed upon a fight, only for Vitali to demand more when he sent the paperwork through. I suspect that was down to Boente rather than Vitali though.

 

Haye doesn't need SKY PPV btw

His last fight was for boxnation. This is a subscriber channel, £10 a month for boxing channel.

They dont care if people sign for one month then cancel, in essence it's ppv in disguise and of course some will forget to cancel in time.

It's a win win , and considering the last fight against chisoras was on that channel , it may happen. Not as much exposure as sky though.

But you know what's really sad?

The fight is free to air in Germany so all those brits paying PPV for ANY german based fight on a sky dish can get it for free by pointing their dish another way rofl

What they should really do is just cancel SKY altogether, get one big dish, no monthly charge no ppv and be done with it. If they want any special football packages or what not just order them form another euro country for much less.

And my dislike for Haye is because he is a fraud in the ring at heavyweight. He is ducking most of the division.
