What a ***** Billy Nelson is, who is he trying to fool. And admitting Burn turned down Broner says everything about Burns.

Same as that, but then I had never heard of you until I met you and I guess thats the same for a lot of situations and meetings.

By the way, I never said Ricky was in bad shape, quite the opposite, but if there is room for improvement at a reasonable price whether its Ariza, Memo or whoever, for those fights that really matter my feeling is it's worth it.
Each to their own though and I also know the old saying "if it's not broke, don't fix it"

I agree Billy, one of the greatest bits of advice that, "if it aint broke, dont fix it." If only people could stick to that for all their lives! Another great bit of advice is and something I have realized more than anything in this world is that, nothing lasts forever. :good

No i appreciate your honesty, but your honesty has only shown Burns does not want to fight the best, because if he had confidence in himself he would have took the Broner fight and if he had won he would be in control not Broner or any other American.

Turning down the fight has only shown Burns has found his level, that is fringe World class.

  8. Looks that way to boxing fans ducking this fight but most in the UK would be happy to see Ricky beat Broner

    Get it on FFS

Puts me off going to see him if his team are purposely dodging. Such a shame.

    :lol:Nice avatar

Don't you think he's entitled to a full camp and preparation for the biggest and perhaps toughest fight of his life though?
I agree with a lot of people who say if the fight doesn't happen this year or a genuinely fair offer is turned down then us fans really have to eat ****,but that February date was always completely unrealistic and the time I thought it was a pretty amateurish piece of spin by the Broner camp, but it seems loads of people have bought into it,hook, line and sinker.
Seems I underestimated the gullibility of some people.

He does not want the fight, he never asked for it to be delayed, his team and Burns himself refused the fight and asked for a purse they knew he would never get.

How can a World champion turn down fighting another champion, this should not be allowed he should be stripped.

I meant that he had just undergone a full camp for nothing, and then had a break at Xmas. There was no way he could've had a full camp in time for Feb 16th or whatever the date was.
Ricky is a legitimate belt holder, and for a fight that could break as well as make him,he's entitled to a 12 or 13 week camp.
And your last sentiment is very honourable in theory, but I've been around too long to think things will ever be as wonderfully simple as that.
You have to realise that most governing bodies want anything BUT an undisputed champ.

    How reliable is that?

It's still a guy coming off a beating, he should be fighting the winner and not the loser.
