I don't think him signing with Top Rank was a mistake it was the only way for him to get a 5 million dollar pay day, Khan offered 1.8 what was he suppose to do? Lets be honest he is a boring fighter he is lucky he got that pay day. Any personal insult against his integrity is purely whining from bitter Pac fans who believed Marquez didn't win any of the first 3 fights. Marque fight makes so much sense I hope it happens.

Not necessarily a mistake but short-sighted, as I said.

Same thing happened with Mosley. He gave up his stake in Golden Boy to fight Pac and then went crawling back to become a punching bag for Canelo for peanuts. I'm sure he regrets the decision now.

Career wise, fighting Khan for 1.8 and then having a lot of worthy opposition for similar paydays possibly leading to a Mayweather fight would have been the better move. Now he's stuck with Mike Jones as the only real option as pointed out by Hatesrats. He won't get Pac again, he won't get Marquez. I doubt Bob puts him in with Rios.

Aside from the Alexander fight, Bradley wasn't getting anywhere near 1M...He got 1M for Casamayor and 5m+ PPV for the Pac fight. It was a great move.

Good post. Maybe a bit of hindsight in here as I'm not sure anyone quite envisioned a position where Bradley would beat Pac and freeze himself out and be left without opponents, but right now - if he'd have taken the path of Khan and joining Golden Boy, fighting guys like Maidana/Malignaggi, he would absolutely be in a better position than he is right now. Probably with the same amount in the bank, only with a far brighter and more assured present and future.

when does Bradley's contract end? he must regret signin to top rank at goldenboy theres so many fights for him
Ortiz, Malignaggi, Berto, Lopez, Khan, Maidana,
feel sorry for him because the only good fights at top rank is Marquez and Rios we already know Marquez is busy with Pac and they tryna keep Rios undefeated

How can Khan offer him 1.8, when Khan himself hasn't ever pulled that in?

You don't think he'd get a million for Khan?

I'm not saying he would have gotten 5 working his way up, but he would have gotten better promotion and a few extra mill on top of the 5 or 6 he'd get with Manny or Floyd.

If he had fought everyone on that list, he wouldn't have made the 6M+ he got for 2 fights. It was a great move.

After the Pac fight, Bradley expected people to line up to face him. He was wrong. He's tasted a big 7 figure payday, and he's not trying to go back to his Showtime days fighting for 300-500K. He probably could've gotten 1M for a Peterson rematch in December or Alvarado in February, but the Pac payday has spoiled him. I think Dunkin and Arum are talking a bit of sense into him now ,as he'll be back in March.

Actually Bradley was offered 2.3M for the Peterson rematch, according to Fat Dan. WTF was he thinking? Either he's delusional or his ankles weren't healthy because that's more than almost any other boxer is making.

Martinez got 1.5M as his CAREER HIGH payday against Chavez

Ward got 1.3M as his career high

Donaire just got his first 1M dollar payday

and Timmy is turning down 2.3? His ankle had to have not been healed because he dominated Peterson the 1st time and is a much better fighter. Easy money. Easy work.

When was this cause the Pacquiao contract pretty much tied him up until Pacquiao made his choice or maybe Arum told him no.

The Peterson fight was offered for December 15th in Miami. While I'm sure they do have a rematch clause, Pac was already fighting the week before so fighting Peterson would've been ok. I thought rematch clauses only were in effect for a year? Dunno
