Am I the only one who wishes Margarito wouldn't have taken the Pacquiao fight?

Common sense does not exist here but at least we know the truth

As if nobody has ever been wrongfully convicted of a crime they have never committed right? I mean thats happened and I believe criminal courts have their **** together a bit more than a ****in commission especially the California commission.

reality is and I stand by this, if it really was plaster paris, the DA would not have backed down, he would have gone after a Criminal case once the Lab results came back, they declined to seek a criminal case, why is that?
its pretty obvious, The DA knows that they could not prove beyond a reasonable doubt

I don't mind the fight just the freak injury that occurred.
Blows for any athlete to have to go thru something like that.
I could only imagine what a Cotto Vs. Maragrito from the Pac fight would have been like, As opposed to that farce of a fight that took place @MSG.

  3. Scar.......... Watching a smiling margarito laugh like a devil everytime he gets punched and keeps moving forward at an increasing pace is very intimidating. I've had nightmares about that lol. Marg is a problem. 12 rounds of a psycho stalker chasing you around.

You make good points but the result of the Pacquiao and Mosley fight tell me he didn't beat Cotto clean, if he had kept winning I would say people are just whining.

    YES.

I don't even like PEDcquiao but he did boxing justice by humiliating that cheating BUM in the ring. How can anyone still be that cheat's fan? The guy could have murdered somebody. He probably would have murdered Cotto had he not been thinking about his family when he surrendered.

Pacquiao would have still been "Pacquiao"?
Some people in hindsight saying the Margo fight took alot out of Manny.
    Just sayin'

That was a big man taking Manny's best & also hitting back.

Cotto won nearly all of the early rounds of the first fight with Margarito, but he was eventually broken down. There is no cheating involved, it was a guy's will breaking down the superior boxer.

The whole scandal destroyed him as a fighter, it removed his "aura of invincibility" so to speak, and it was all downhill from there. He looked absolutely terrible in the Mosely fight, sluggish and demotivated. Manny breaking his eye socket ensured his career was pretty much toast for good after that.

In the second Cotto fight before the stoppage, Cotto was tiring, and starting to get beat up again, it was much like the first fight. I think Margarito just had his number, especially because Cotto had horrible stamina, which you can't have vs Margarito. I think any great boxer with good footwork would have given him massive amounts of trouble, no matter what stage of his career he fought them.

His "aura of invincibility?" Get a clue. It was loaded gloves. Of course he got demotivated. He found out he was dudu. He hasn't beaten a quality opponent since.

If I remember correctly, Cotto won all first six rounds on most cards, with the exception of the second? After that, Margarito began to pin him and hurt him bad.

I actually think the Marg that fought Pac would have beat many fighters that night.

Tell me then, what were his gloves loaded with? Being that in post #6 I thoroughly debunked plaster of paris, what's your guess? Matter of fact, explain to me how ANY FIGHTER can have a brick like substance on their hands, without shattering their hands to pieces? Ever broken a hand? You sure as hell won't be throwing hard power shots with it, much less 100+ punches a round like he was. There was NO brick ever confiscated from his gloves regardless, just a bundle of gauze...

    Next? :roll::roll::roll:
