I don't think Bute was the worst hype job I think maybe Froch was the most underrated guy. Froch fights everyone and takes a chance to lose, so people thought he was worse than he was. Bute will do better in the rematch, but he will still lose.

    This is simply ******ed.

Even when he was the consensus P4P #4-7, people hated, doubted, and criticized him. Perhaps rightfully so to many degrees.

But he has accomplished so much more than any of the names discussed here that to mention him here shows how dumb one is.

Bute is a talented fighter....great body puncher. He has a glass jaw though and we alll knew that from the first Andrade fight. To compare him to Grant or Lacy is a bit premature and a bit of a stretch IMO. Let's see if and how he can rebound from the loss to Froch before we call the guy a fluke and a hype job.

How exactly does losing to a top5 (top 3 on some lists) label you as a derailed hype train? Chavez Jr is a great fighter, he just couldn't beat an elite fighter in Martinez. Gtfo

IT is not a stretch, it is ****ing ******ed. He is and hs always been 5000 times the fighter that Lacy ever was.

Bute lost to Froch... so what?

He just got caught, but did better in the first couple of rounds than Dawson did against Ward. Dawson's performance was down-right disgraceful quitting like that after being schooled every second.

I think both are good boxers, and one loss to very good fighters doesn't mean they are suddently hypejobs. I would not even be sure Froch can beat Bute in Canada... well he could, but will he?

Since when do great fighters go life or death against the likes of Zbik ?
He had a huge size advantage and it was Zbik who made his head pop. The same feather fisted German that got shredded by Sturm in his next fight.

Khan is first on the list for me, the people he's beaten have only been average or way over the hill and the British press gave him so much undeserved attention before making excuses for him every single time he loses (even though they tear other fighters to pieces over mediocre performances and losses). He sucks.

    Lacy was probably the worst.

Yeah Taylor does seem to have been beaten by almost every decent fighter he's faced except B-Hop

It was his chin. Had Hopkins had a punch like Froch or Pavlik he would have taken him out. B-hop hurt him quite a few times.
