A month ago I'd have said Marquez. Now that the hype has died down a bit I'm not so sure.

Remember last year someone did a poll with Johnny Tapia and ODLH on the list and someone mentioned Duran?

I'm going to abstain from voting here because I'm far too biased towards some of the guys on the list and the fact that the one Mexican I could never really take to was the admittedly wonderful JCC means that I'd probably be voting impartially.
Chava and Finito are the soundest technicians on the list though, and along with Marquez and Barrera they're my personal favourites but that doesn't constitute being the greatest bt any measure.
    And great shout with Chiquita,Hatesrats.
But I have Finito beating him and Carbajal.(And that's just me too:good)

Julio Cesar Chavez is the greatest Mexican fighter of all time in terms of ability and accomplishments. Then it's the likes of Olivares, Sanchez, Saldivar, Barrera, Morales, Marquez, etc.

No such thing as the single-greatest out of that list if you ask me.

Mexicans... I don't think there are enough good
Mexican fighters to make a list that isn't insignificant. I most certainly would rule out quitters which would account for half of these fighters

Gonna go with Julio Cesar Chavez. His record is very impressive, and he had one of the greatest fights ever against Meldrick Taylor.
