    look at Broner's dad -- he's enormously fat. Broner will have a hard time keeping the weight off for long.

    isn't Loma a superfeatherweight, anyway?

    come on, it's absurd to say one fighter beats another because he does well against a national "style". The resemblance in style between Gamboa and, say, Erislandy Lara is almost nil.

    Lomachenko does well against the "Mexican style", therefore he beats all Mexicans in perpetuity.

    Come on!

    He's an athlete, Roy Jones sr. was tubby as well. Fat goes on because of calories, energy isn't produced out of thin air.

    Lomachenko weighs 60-61kg (approx. 135 pounds)

    Conraddobler is not Cuban. He is one of these Sorry ass Americans who can not deal with the fact they are not dominating the sport anymore.

    You should check out his posting history about heavyweight division and Seth Mitchell. He had hilarious theories about best of them American big boys playin ball and the hw division being weak and Seth Mitchell was the proof of of his theories. I mean Seth from the "ball games" was supposed to expose this weak division.

    I get what you're saying but there is a Cuban style built on drawing fighters in for counters and using parallel punching to catch fighters by surprise. Rigo, Kindelan and Gambo do it well. My point was that Lomachenko has dealt with that before with no problems against the likes of Alvarez and Toledo who are top Cubans. We won't know until they fight, I would love to see a Gamboa v Lomachenko fight in the future.

    amazing boxer. If only he'd gone pro after the 2008 olympics, we'd all be watching him defending his world title by now.

    You seemed to have missed the part where I said "If he continues his form into the pro game". As in if he is as dominant in the pro game as he has been in the amateur game then he'll be considered the GOAT.

    Loma is exceptional but Ive read in this thread he is technically perfect, as skillful as Whitaker but with a better punch & is potentially the GOAT

    Those are not my numbers..I don't know were do you find yours..but Rigo have 2 world amateur champ( 2001 Belfast, 2005 Mianyang) and two wolrd amateur cup(2002 Astana, 2005 Moscow) Lomashenko fought yasnier Toledo in the Olympics who was coming up in weight was a good fight..I believe he is a great fighter but not close of the most domimant amateur...

    I see your point, but boxers don't box regularly enough at this point for him to carve out a career to be in a position to be considered #1 ATG, whether he is dominant or not, IMO anyway. Too much politics involved in getting in to a position to consistently box the best at the moment. And unless we have a spurt of top, top class boxers in and around the lighter weight classes (who are either established world class/elite, or go on to become just that) for him to pick up a great resume before his career ends (it hasn't even started yet) it will be hard for him to be rated so highly as a pro.

    World Cups are not World Championships, nowhere near as prestigious and I don't think they even exist anymore. I don't know where you pulled the 488 wins number from, all that's known is that he had almost 400 wins with 12 losses. Maybe you don't understand what dominant means then.

    I don't understand what your issue is with that term, whoever he beats is irrelevant to my point at this stage. I am simply saying that if he is as dominant as he was as an amateur against the very best opposition, racks up all the wins and achievements and looks as stylish as a pro then he will be considered the GOAT. Being able to get the big name fights against some excellent rivals will also be important for that to happen obviously. My point is potential and continuation of his amateur form, people need to relax a bit.
