Well they have **** loads of cash and want to rival Sky. http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/blog/2013/jan/10/bt-sky-sports-coverage
If Boxnation was offered as part of a package including BT's new sports channels then it could be great for them. They've got Prem football from next season.
By 'them' I meant Boxnation . Poorly phrased, I know... Or they might just get rid of Boxnation but show all their content on the new channels. Either way, good news for the sport like you say.
Good new for allegedly that. I think its good news for the average fan too. A lot of money would be available for the channel to build.
Depends if you have to go with BT vision to get it then they'll risk losing a lot of potential income. If you can get these channels via SKY I don't see how it will help launch vision as a major competitor to SKY.
. I never thought of that mate. May be they'll do a bit of both, keep the dedicated channel but show the bigger fights/ highlights on their more mainstream channels?
:good Can't see this being anything other than good for as long as BT need programming to pad the channels out. If they do start to fulfill some of their lofty ambitions though I do wonder where that'll leave the boxing. Hopefully they dig into their pockets and get us the fights, but we'll see.
