Ricky Burns facebook status saying "big fight will hopefully be announced soon"

Against Prescott I think he had the rep of being a bit of a puncher so he boxed at range a bit more but from what I have seen of him he likes to stride forward and move his head throwing body shots and hooks on the way in from strange angles.

Watch the fight agains Ji Hoon Kim and you'll see what I mean, I am by no means an expert on the guy but he doesn't appear to me to be a master technician like Marquez and Burns is capable of winning with the right tactics.

So hopefully this fight ****ing gets announced now and Billy gets those tactics spot on and then we can all stop doubting Ricky and look forward to a big unification show down with the hair-brush-hype-job!

I can just picture the press conference being all set up for later today.

Frank, Billy and Ricky have spoken at length for the last few weeks and with some tough negotiating they have finally agreed on the BIG fight.

What I fear is likely to happen is that Fish Eyes will announce the date, but not the opponent. He will, how ever, promise that this time it will be a big name (honest), but he can't reveal it yet, but everybody had better get their hands on tickest quick so as not not to be disappointed. Then as the fight draws closer a set of "unforeseen circumstances" and "blatant ducking" will rail road the big fight and instead Burns will face a "teak tough" Ghanaian who has never been stopped.

 

I really, really hope its Vasquez!
