    Now? :blood

    Frog vs Kessler of course.
Why would anyone expect anything from Calzaghe again? The man is retired for years, old and not a shadow of his former self by now.

It's like people wanting Lennox back for a rematch with Vitali or a Tyson comeback and expect them to do well, wich is ridiculous.

Calzaghe vs Kessler easy. Not quite sure why the Froch camp think that this is such a jaw-dropping fight?!

Calzaghe - Kessler no doubt about

But I would prefer to watch Froch - Kessler 2 over Calzaghe - Kessler

Calzaghe vs. Kessler was still bigger...however...if the stage gets set for Froch vs. Kessler III... :think

One was for the unified, lineal championship at 168 between two undefeated champions in what looked like a genuine 50-50 fight. This is a rematch of an excellent fight between two guys who are coming to the end of their careers.

It's a great match, but nowhere near as important or exciting a prospect.

Defo Calzaghe. Can see why in some peoples opinions it will be a better fight though. Not mine though.

    Exactly

I think a lot of people forget just how ****ing brilliant that fight was...better than Froch Kessler I by quite a stretch IMO, if you are a purist that is

Other than when he'd lost a few against Anthony Mundine (whom he beat with zero sparring due to suffering a back injury in camp), Kessler had barely lost a round before he fought Calzaghe and was seen as an absolute beast back then. I remember reading an article in KO magazine shortly before they were due to fight where they polled a load of people involved in the sport as to what the outcome was going to be and I'm pretty sure most picked Kessler. Sakio Bika, who'd fought Joe and sparred against Kessler, said that he was a ****ing monster and that he was going to steamroller Joe. Kessler's damaged goods now though, IMO. He's still dangerous and somewhat rejuvenated from the crappy version who turned up against Pedermo, Ward and Froch. However, he's clearly not the same force he was in his prime (I know he's had terrible problems with injuries throughout his career). Prime Kessler would've beaten the version of Froch (who I think was also below par that night too) who showed up in Herning comfortably, and I say that as a long time fan of both of them.

As others have already said, both Calzaghe and Kessler were unbeaten and universally regarded as the top two dogs in the division, Kessler was the WBC/WBA champ, Calzaghe the WBO, although remember he'd never actually lost the IBF title he'd won of Lacy in the ring either, and it was all about bragging rights as to who numero uno was. It was a huge fight by European standards and a huge event too. This fight is a big one too and it's guaranteed to be a corker. In fact, I think it might even be better than their first encounter. However, it's clearly not on the same scale as Calzaghe-Kessler was.
