It's a bit more than an edge though...if he were fast, Castillo would have been an absolute beast, I mean maybe #1 at bantam that there is, but he wasn't really that fast. Good at slipping, sliding, feinting, shucking quickly all that good stuff but he could be out-sped.

Well yeah...Nonito's speed would definetly cause him some problems, i just think he has the skills to to outbox him. "Whooping him" was a bit harsh ill admit.

What did you think to Castillo-Rose, McGrain? Castillo coped quite well with Rose's speed, I thought. I mean, it was really close and Rose had plenty of success and everything, especially on the back foot with Castillo coming in. But I didn't think Chucho lacked a grip on it or anything. Like you say though, he wasn't lightning quick himself (although not slow either) and was so skilled and well rounded that pure speed might be one of the keys to undoing him, albeit not on it's own. Caraballo was very fast too, and it didn't help him too much, though I think he was starting to slip a tiny bit by that point.

I don't disagree with you as such, but I'd say Chucho was a h2h beast anyway in spite of not being lightning quick. I'd give him a good chance against any other bantam ever.

That's true, that's true. And maybe Donaire is a little more fragile than we believe him to be. Castillo did have to walk through a lot of Rose's hardest stuff though (i had Castillo winning pretty handily i'm afraid) and i'm not sure he'd do that here.

Yeah, I don't hate the result, at all. I think that it's "that type" of fight. My card said ****ing 9-6 against him though.

Writing summat on him meself McGrain...also had to whittle it down (to 350!) which was painful for me as I could talk about him all day.

Oh, the Rose fight could go either way.

How do we feel about the 2nd Herrera fight, the 12 rounder?

Anyone who hasn't seen him against Cruz needs to watch how Castillo fights with his back to the ropes and a bigger guy on top of him constantly.

    Magician.

Shits all over Ricardo Lopez for resume too.
