I don't dislike him in the sense that I hope he does bad. I meant I didn't like the first impression he gave me. He'll have said all that stuff he said in the press conference in order to impress Richard Schaefer and other people at GBP. Like I said previously, stuff that impresses the yanks doesn't impress a lot of Brits (me included). It in facts rubs many of us the wrong way. Read all the other comments, other people are like "WTF Anthony?" as well.

Yeah, there's always going to be a amount that think that, and that's why they mention it as opposed to the hundreds that check this forum and probably think nothing of it right now. I would agree that there are things that can come off more arrogant as opposed to other comments and it's just based on the general feeling of what you like, but I just think it's a fickle feeling. I don't personally show continuing dislike towards a fighter because all boxers have that level of arrogance and if they don't, then they're in the wrong sport.

Let's see how this pans out over a few years, GBP looking to walk into Wank and Eddie's toes but the thing is they are nothing but small fish for GBP, GBP got money let's see how much they are looking to invest into U.K.

 

dont see him doin tha well as a pro, fast hands but little power and a poor chin, I remember selkirk smashin him up in the aba's seemed to hurt him with every decent shot he landed.

Lots of people rate that Joe Selkirk, say he has great potential. Wish he'd be more active. He seems to hardly ever fight.

 

Yeh he needs a decent run of fights his pro careers been proper stop start because of injuries and arl fish eyes, he should have been fighting for titles ages ago, he will do this year though, would love to see him in with liam smith and then Brian Rose, hed beat them both IMO.

 

Another reason I prefer Hearn to Fish Eyes, he keeps his fighters busy. FW seems to put only arrange 2 fights a year for his and leaves to them to kick their heels in the meantime, even when their novices and need all the experience they can get. It's surely the reason why talented fighters like Frankie Gavin seem to go off the rails and don't show much improvement. Eddie does it right by getting his fighters out as often as they can be so they can learn, like with Kal Yafai.

 

defo, hes bringin the young lads on really well, and the fighters know it which is why all the gb lads are signing with him.

 

Ogogo got spanked by that Brazilian kid. That lad was truly impressive, he had a punch. Anthony was rocked pretty hard, he struggled to just survive so I'm not sure about his pro prospects. He'll need to be in much better shape, I was slightly concerned with his overall 'durability' to actually fight. He always seemed to burn out in fights, not hold a shot that well and generally cling on for verdicts. Not sure whether he's a real pro fighter. Good luck to him.
