Derevyanchenko beat Paskali comfortably. Paskali had his moments, but lost an UD (2x 50-45, 49-46 I believe).

    Round 3

Tavares is slipping and weaving on the way in, keeping his hands low, putting in descending right hooks to set up his left now instead of the jab. Joseph is waiting on Tavares, and covering up while awaiting an opening but not seizing upon them quickly enough when Tavares darts in to score. Joseph is pressing forward and able to tie up without landing. Several sweeping shots by Tavares miss as Joseph ducks, one glancing off his back.

    10-9 Tavares

    30-27 Tavares

    Round 4

Tavares is catching Joseph's jabs on his vertically poised right arm, then leading with slap-hooks and putting in the left. Tavares walks Joseph back with his right jab pawing out and then drops a left to the bread basket. Joseph is kept on the ropes and takes a grazing left to the face before tying up as Tavares comes in. Tavares counters over a Joseph jab with a two-piece. Joseph tries some light body shots after stepping in, but can't get in a firm dig and resorts to holding.

    10-9 Tavares

    40-36 Tavares

    Round 5

Tavares is catching the big fat rights of Joseph, flapped in an arc, on his gloves and then responding with short lefts with his knees bent to spring into them. Joseph steps forward in small increments, keeping his guard up as Tavares swings rapidly to the body and then shoeshines to the face. Lunging jab by Joseph. Tavares executes a matador turn brushing Joseph's face with a right. A few batting lefts to the hip by Joseph. Tavares dances around him at short range, then ducks a hook. Clinch. Big flurry by Joseph, very sloppy. He scores once or twice but is all over the place and soon tied up. Tavares is riding out the clock.

    10-9 Tavares

    50-45 Tavares

With that, the Thunder take the match - best three out of five.

The light heavyweight and heavyweight contests effectively do not matter except for the individuals' records.

On that note, I'm out. If somebody else (Vys, Rog) wants to cover the rest, go ahead.

    More double-booking! :-(

Mexico vs. Poland and Italy vs. Germany are on at the exact same time. The live streaming is great, but FFS, some organization please!
