Are you saying Hopkins will fight the Pascal/Dawson winner? If so, i disagree. If Dawson wins, i don't see him wanting Dawson. He knows Dawson is all wrong for him. Might as well cherry pick other guys he can beat and ride off into the sunset instead of fighting Dawson for another guaranteed L.

 

Uh, no. I'm saying we'll finally get Cloud vs. Pascal to determine the current #1 light heavyweight.

I'm also assuming Pascal will knock Dawson out, now that his confidence and chin both have fissures in them.

Pascal and Cloud have flaws, but they're the two h2h best at 175 right now IMO.

 

I think Hopkins will win. His defense against Dawson was still amazing for a 47 year old. He seldom got hit flush and Dawson is far faster and superior over Cloud. Cloud is too basic and predictable.

 

this kind of fight and the boring ass rematches and promotional incest that boxing is going through is really turning me off to the sport. and i have been a fan since I was a little kid.

 

Father Time has defo caught up to Hop's now.
We might see a stoppage in this one.

 

Hopkins doesn't need to make the fight ugly to beat Cloud's crude ass, just like he didn't have to against Pascal. The huge IQ golf between the two fighters outweighs Hopkins' shotness.

 

Cloud is flat footed, comes forward in straight lines, has no defense and doesn't know how to cut off the ring, but has a high work rate and good power.

Hopkins is 48.

So it'll be interesting to see how it turns out.
