    Gavin circles and jabs. Welborn is inviting Gavin to hit him, offering his chin and showboating. Gavin doesn't take the bait. Welborn is stepping in, elbows up near his throat, trying to sway out of the way of Gavin's jab but still getting brushed with it. Gavin drops his arms and works straight in to the body. Welborn pushes up a high jab and they clasp together messily. Lunging 1-2 by Welborn; another clinch. Gavin hoists his arms up quickly to block when Welborn tries to jab on the front foot.

    quite a bit slagging of venue it least it sold out nothing worse than seeing half filled arena they just have no atmosphere

    Welborn is struggling to solve the Gavin jab and movement. Gavin keeps sliding laterally and tickling Welborn with that southpaw lead. Welborn crashes in with a right hand over the top but as usual it's only momentary success. Welborn's face is badly marked up by the Gavin jab.

    Welborn is circling to his left and catching far-flung combs as Gavin rotates and pops off from a comfortable anchored point. Welborn isn't getting close to him with any of the shots he's dragging in. Gavin scores a knockdown with looping left body shots!! Welborn takes half a count on his knee. BIG body shots by Gavin. Welborn is pushed to the ropes. Gavin keeps popping the right jab, and then chugs away downstairs. Both fists slam into Welborn's middle. Down again.

    Thought that was a mature, calculating performance. Let his opponent wear himself out, controlled the fight all the way, then stepped it up and stopped him. Great work from Frankie.

    But (and no disrespect intended) Welborn is a pretty poor fighter, if Gavin was the superstar 'some' make him out to be, he should be dumping the likes of Welborn in a couple of rounds.

    Gavin's been a pro four years now he should be way beyond this level by now.
