A couple of reasons. First, if styles make fights then this is a bad one. Mayweather has A+ Intelligence, A+ Boxing Skills, and A+ Speed. Austin Trout has an A or A- in all of those categories. They would mimic each other except Mayweather is slightly superior in every category. Trout has size but I'm not sure that makes Trout able to walk down and bully Mayweather because his style of fighting is not aggressive (like Mayweather) and depends on outboxing (which he wouldn't be able to do). We saw something similar in the Marquez fight (A+ Int and skills, B speed) and while size would be against Mayweather this time it wouldn't help Trout. Moreover, Technical boxers fighting Technical boxers eliminates the rock paper scissors effect. Technical boxers are equal to each other, superior to Outside speed fighters, and inferior to inside fighters. Robert Guerrero is an inside fighter, or a "rock" to Mayweather's "scissor." The more compelling, dangerous matchup for FMJ is Robert Guerrero, not Austin Trout. The second reason is money and fame. Trout has established that he won seven rounds against Miguel Cotto and beat up lesser Alvarez while possessing a title at 154. These are good markers of fame and money, but nowhere near the money and fame that a proven Mexican-American fighter would bring to the table. For that matter: Manny Pacquiao, Sergio Martinez, Saul Alvarez, Miguel Cotto, Juan Manuel Marquez, and Adrien Broner are all more substantial matchups for fame and money. Additionally, the interracial relationship of Trout and his wife are not a compelling story over those just listed.
yeah that Floyd picking on smaller, older fighters 36 year old former super featherweight Floyd You're such a ******. If i saw you in person I'd crush you with the same flicker jab overhand right combo that Hearns used to knock out that fat overrated slob Duran down for the count
Since Pac is now fading further down the p4p list. People need to find the next best hope to taunt Floyd name with. Canelo, Trout, Martinez etc.....
Floyd fought four times in four years. Manny fought eight times in four years. Manny fought all of Floyd's opponents except for Ortiz. Pacquiao additionally fought Margarito, Clottey, and Bradley which were all superior opponents to Ortiz; Mayweather didn't fight those guys. Pacquiao fought his toughest opponent twice over that span. FMJ gets negative reputation because of his lack of activity and his opponent choice has been less substantial than Pacquiao's. That's why you don't "hear this with Manny." Manny fights tough, and more frequently than Floyd. Get off the dick.
Shouldn't Canola Alvarez be fighting Trout?? Trout has been calling him out looong before Floyd took Cotto's 154lb title. Ya'll tease Floyd for not taking riskes while letting the red headed step-child off the hook. Floyd is a WW...he's never defended a 154lb title....
Get off Manny's 3incher first... Plankman fights carefully chosen opponents picked to make him look good...then drains them. Oscar......Shane and Hatton were still knocking people out when Mayweather fight them. Oscar couldn't even stop Steve Forbes by the time Manny got to him... Shane STALKED Manny at his own gym when he was WW Champ.. Freddy finally stumbled over and asked him "Shane....can you make 142"??? Mosley had a TITLE when Floyd fought him. What did he have when Pac fought him? NOTHING but a name...:deal
You lost all credibility when you gave Pacquiao props for Margarito, you want to give him credit for Mosley's scraps after he got caught cheating? That's what you *******s do you act like Pacquiao never ducked. I'll put it like this Mayweather is undefeated and your guy hasn't won in a year and a half crying about a robbery still.
