For a bit of context, Ayala went 11 1/2 rounds (only like 15 seconds to go) with a prime MW Arthur Abraham :deal

The move down to 160 might be the ticket for Curtis, the division is definitely there for the taking.

What is crazy is that Stevens was clearly outclassed by Dirrell and outboxed by ****ing Brinkley.

Part of his trash talk in the build-up (and maybe part of Stevens' motivation to mutilate him like that) was telling Stevens he is "no Arthur Abraham". :yep

Luckily, Stevens wasn't seriously hurt during that skirmish. Bad referee job letting Ayala continue, and that security sucks.

Impressive stuff from Stevens. Admittedly, Ayala can be caught cold, but Stevens still looked more disciplined than he has in the past.

    :huh

I always thought KO was the only way for Stevens to have a chance.

Never saw him outboxing Ayala. (which he did, surprisingly, for the first half minute before landing that monster hook)

He is known for power, not finesse.
