Rosado did fight well and with lots of courage. Of course on this board of warriors he will now get labelled a blown up LMW.

Golovkin did well, too. His head movement left a lot to be desired and he got hit a bit himself. Well, can happen on the way inside and he was never looking in trouble. Of course he will get labelled a useless hypejob.

Overall it was a nice matchup. I would like Gabe to go back to 154 and try to get a title fight there. Would be awesome if GGG fought Chavez jr or Degeale, unfortunately I think neither fight will happen in the near future.

 

How would Chavez KO him? Chavez wouldn't use any movement like Rosado did. Chavez would get his ass beat, maybe he makes it the distance but I don't see him winning.

GGG is a little muscle bound, so he's slow on defense, but fundamentally he's very good and he has the patience of a veteran fighter, so it is less likely he will gas from wasting punches.

He's also not the fastest boxer, but what he lacks in terms of speed of hands and defense he makes up for with balance, timing, and power.

He's still a very dangerous fighter. He did eventually reduce Rosado into a runner.

We've gone a bit GGG crazy, here, I think.

Is GGG bigger? I'm not even sure. Regardless, there's a difference between getting respect and trying to be the puncher in the fight. I did not suggest the latter, for certain.

I wondered also, but then I realised people are ****s and dismissed it.

I just had a flashback to Vic Darchinyan saying the exact same thing about Rodriguo Guerrero.

 

Good performance from both. GGG showed a lot of technique. One thing I will say is his stamina is good but because he is so power heavey he has to limit his punch out put. That might mean that he'll have to let better fighters have a few more moments while concerving energy as he steps up. I also agree with Max that if GGG doesn't move his head some one will move it for him. I can see a big boxer puncher having some success with him....closest thing to that is Martinez. Pirog might have a chance too.

 

Yes I would Martinez has the style to give ggg a boxing lesson.
