Tom Sharkey's height - Shorter than 5 '8 ?

Since Greb died in 1928 ,Sharkey could not have been more than 55 there.

 

He would be 6-4 today.

 

surprisingly, they usually may the shorter guy shorter and the taller guy taller, Looks like he was the size of Dwight Qwawi Braxton about 5"5 5"6 but he was built like a brick **** house, another rare freak

 

Grebs cowboy boots look to add an inch or two to his height. Allowing for camera angles, ground etc i would say that this photo looks about right, but that view may change with examination of others. I am not sure.

 

Cowboy boot? Theyre both wearing heeled dress shoes.

 

well i am not going to argue too hard as you probably have better eyes than me. Although, why is it that Greb's pants look 2 inches to short, if he isnt wearing high heel cowboy boots or dress shoes or whatever they are.

 

Sharkey looks as wide as he is tall.

It's interesting that Mendoza castigates Johnson for beating up 5' 7" Burns, yet is strangely silent on the height, and weight disparity between
Jeffries and Sharkey.

Two month after going 20rds to a decision loss to Jeffries ,Sharkey only scaled 177lbs against Ruhlin,176lbs 5 months later against Corbett,and 172 lbs 7 months later against McCoy.

Greb looking sharp as usual but Sam Langford must have been his tailor. Sharkey looks like he should have been a blacksmith, strong looking guy.
