GGG is the new Lucien Bute!

Before Froch destroyed Buteeeeey he was a god on this forum. Just like GGG he looked good against a bunch of B level fighter.
GGG is exciting to watch but has also a lot of flaws. He can punch like a truck but his defense, handspeed, footwork and overall athleticism is average at best. A skilled counterpuncher would son GGG.

 

Would like to see AA against him but that is not going to happen unless GGG moves to SMW.

Derrick Rose says a good counter puncher would own him. Stop your professional career GGG. Its pointless.

 

We will see, although their has been no suggestion that Golovkin cannot achieve something big.

 

We should send him an email or something.

 

Does Rose realize that Golovkin was a counter puncher for most of his career and beat guys like Andre Dirrell using that style. Trying to fight off the back foot and counter as hard hitting and quality a pressure fighter as Golovkin is isn't going to work for any of the current MW's that i see aside from possibly Martinez.

 

There are guys going over board with Gennady, but that's no reason to criticize the fighter. He is a humble, exciting fighter with tremendous power. His defense might not be perfect, but no fighter is perfect in every department. He is a legit talent and he keeps adding fans every fight. What the hell is there not to like?

 

His fans (barring myself hopefully) are unbearable at times, other than that i dont think you can hate the guy.

 

This really.. He is a top fighter in a good division, he isn't unbeatable, but he sure is fun to watch, and you can't rule him out against anyone..

Besides GGG looks like he is real, unlike Bute who always had questions about his punch resistance

You think, i see a Golovkin - Martinez fight being reasonably close with either Martinez running out an 8-4 type decision or being stopped late on.

 

Why hate on him? Sure he gets overrated by some, but he comes to fight is a nice guy, where is your problem?

Your analysis is **** btw. Last night Ward praised him 50 times for footwork and balance. To claim his footwork to be weak is simply nonsense

 

GGG is better, don't know how people can't see this?

 

3G is better than bute..and anyone who think martinez would destroy him is kidding! 3G has that type of power that would break a man's defense, and lets not act that he is this slow plodder, he has good handspeed, eventually his opponents would get hit by one of those no matter how good they are.
