Accidental to me. He was starting to get to Garcia. If he wanted 'out' he would have done it two rounds earlier. Not after having the best success of the fight. If you think Salido ever wants out of a tough fight, you dont know what youre talking about. The fight was starting to go exactly in the direction Salido wanted it to, and thats into a dog fight. However, shitty thing is, in dog fights, **** happens... and he was way too careless with his head there. I do hold Salido at fault for being that careless. He robbed the fight of a natural ending for either of them, but fans on the outside watch slow motion replays and think they have a clue. **** is happening at a blink of an eye pace in there and **** happens.
I thought the head butt was on purpose due to frustration. I wish they fight got to go on for the sake of a more spectacular victory. I have no problem with it being stopped especially at a deliberate foul
I agree with both points and I also think that the real testing of Garcia was in motion because Salido was starting to land. No knock on Garcia's skills because he was masterful in his boxing. It was his grit and his stamina that I wanted to see because that would have been the whole package. He called the headbut unintentional and that's good enough for me. As for Kellerman, he is an agitating *****. HBO should take his mike cause he stirs up bull**** and talks out of the side of his neck.:bbb
I don't really know how pple still have salido avatars on. I mean he got annihilated and schooled then quit with major headbutt. I never saw a major headbutt like that in his 2 fights against juanma and juanma is a southpaw. Jesus pple!! Mexicans quit all the time
If it was you? Mate, you would run away as soon as you see the entrance to the MSG, you keyboard warrior.
Though I was routing for Mikey to win, and even though he was, I do not think the headbutt was an accident, that did look intentional, However Salido was getting closer to Mikey, and was starting to tag him in spots, and to me Mikey looked like he was starting to crack a little. My question is when does a trainer look for a ref to stop the fight like that when your nose gets broken? why would they feel the need to stop it due to an accidental foul? after all Robert Garcia had allot of words about Victor Ortiz who quit on his stool with a broken jaw...
to me it looked like not only did he come in with his head, it looked like he tried to pull Mikeys head into his with that long slap hook he landed while coming in with his head.
Salido dips everytime before he shoots his OH right or left... Mikey backed straight into the ropes & "boom" <~ Clash.
accidental personally. he roughes people up but to call that intentional is just sad. mikey could throw nothing and run around the ring 2 rounds back and still win. it was an accident. salido was coming on but i didnt think had anything to really super trouble him...he did get to hima few times. garcia has really made himself a solid 126er.
