Golovkin is the one and only WBA champion, shocking I know. Not worth the hassle getting into mandatory position for WBC belt, look at how long it took Rubio to get his shot. Staying on HBO will get Golovkin his shot at Martinez. And Sturm has blatantly avoided Golovkin for years now, he seen first hand what he was like in the universum gym in Hamburg when they trained together years ago.

Cant believe he can beat Martinez, looks like he misses with a lot of hooks upstairs, do that with Martinez and your gonna get sparked for my money.

Look at how Martinez hunted down Chavez who was blatantly avoiding him. Chavez and his team did everything they could to avoid Martinez.

What has GGG done to make fights with the big guys? He's headlining on HBO and is a hyped, unbeaten middleweight champion; why would fighters turn him down? Are they being offered shitty money, something K2 often do.

GGG was just featured for 350k, so it's definitely not a cashout type purse for his opponent yet. What it is is an opportunity to fight for his title on HBO. Still for most of these guys it'd be near their career high or better.
