Calzaghe vs Ward, who wins?

He HAD to travel for big fights, whereas they DIDN'T.

They fought at home on HBO against named fighters, while Joe fought on Sky and was from Wales.

His circumstances were different to theirs.

 

Then why was Ward looking tired against Bika and Froch, while Hopkins looked the stronger down the stretch, (which is Hopkins game) against Pascal twice, Taylor twice, Pavlik etc

 

So why did Hopkins, Dawson and Jones talk about going to Wales? Because thats where the champ was:good

 

You forgetting how Ward was being bust up by Bika in round 12, or Ward being rocked by K Kost , or Ward only beating slow plodder Froch by a couple of points on 2 cards, or are you forgetting how Ward did something Calzaghe never did... The chicken dance, against D Boone.

 

Bailey , never mind asking me -why this, why that. The only breakdown of the fight you can ever come up with it is based on resume's. Styles make fights.
Come up with a technical breakdown of how Joe defeats Ward based on just the two of them in the ring. Man on Man , Mono e Mono.

Filthiest thread Ive ever seen. Calzaghe couldnt even beat Chad Dawson, Pascal or Froch let alone Ward. Doubt he would beat AA also. Anyone who lands a shot on that coked out chin wins. Hell Dirrel would probably sleep Joke Coke Calslappy. GTFOH

 

Jesus I hope this was a troll post. Arthur Abraham? Is that a ****in joke? Calzaghe would win 120-108 on every card against him. Dawson-Calzaghe would be a good fight. Pascal is too slow and would get beaten cleanly. Froch-Calzaghe would also be good but Joe's workrate is too much.

The only guy who would have a shot is Dawson. Styles make fights so don't give me this "Ward beat Dawson = he would beat Calzaghe". I think Joe beats Dawson in a close fight. I also think he beats Ward in a close one.

 

Its clear Calzaghe fans are just stupid fanboys. Joe is not even an effective puncher regardless of always being the bigger man in his fights. Pascal could easily land a haymaker on him and shatter his coke chin. Same with AA, Froch, Dirrel and even Ward who has the least power I just named. Joe probably wont even be known as ATG. HOF at best and with good reason.

I really can't believe that the voting is as close as this, a true testament to the blinkered fanboys on here over-estimating Wards talent in a desperately poor 168 era.

The only consolation is that the poll would havve been even closer 7 years ago before the Calzaghe v Lacy fight.

At 168 Dawson is a glass Jawed, Glass Hearted disgrace that if the featherfisted Ward can hurt Calzaghe will KO him easy if prime or late TKO if post prime.

Pascal as said is too slow

Froch is a slow mechanical fighter who would just get beaten for 12, see it through and lose a wide decision.

Abraham is a cut below and Dirrell would be a good fight but he's so inactive who knows what he looks like now.

Ward could never handle the workrate and if BHop at his comfortable weight couldn't stop Joe, Ward has no hope against prime Joe
