Unless it's a fighter who has almost cross over appeal then I don't think this country will ever take to ppv culturally. We prefer a a good ole subscription! So we see Haye going into the celeb jungle to raise his mainstream profile and change the minds of people he's turned off to get Sky's proper backing to flush out Vitali. And in this country we are only talking about 15 quid for a ppv. Even though the population is so vast in the States it's amazing the business it does at $49.95 a pop.

I don't think anyone is pro PPV but end of the day if paying £15 means you get a bigger nights entertainment and more quality fights i'm cool with paying for it.

The Yanks pay for a lot of boxing, we're rather blessed over here but i agree when people refuse to pay £15 for some poor cards in the final few PPV's.

Good question. And sorry to burst people's bubble but some are talking like this fight Leonard v Hagler, well it's not. Yes it will be entertaining but let's come back down to earth a minute. This is still a hardcore fans fight, it's one we have already seen once, we've seen both comprehensively beaten (twice) and no matte what else anyone says all it does it decide who the 2nd best in the world is after Ward.

Yes its a good fight but It's not the mega fight its bein made out to be. Nobody got this stiff of a boner over their first fight so i don't quite understand it to be brutally honest.

Not yet I don't think. Not a fan of PPV myself unless the card is stacked.

Froch-Kessler 2 should be on Sky Sports 1 not PPV. PPV should only be for the truly big fights with high profile boxers i.e. Hatton-Mayweather, Hatton-Pac, Haye-Klit

We pay enough for our Sky subs so that in itself is PPV revenue, not to mention the advertising revenue that Sky cream between rounds on fight night.

Throw in the extras like £10 per month just to see your live Sport in HD. So, point being, it is utter, utter bull**** to say that there is no budget to make fights like Froch-Kessler, there is a massive sports budget and for my Sky subs this fight should be included.

Oh and for Sky to opportunistically decide to bring PPV back for this is a pure disgrace. And il just watch it by some other means because i made my mind up long ago that I will never pay Sky PPV money ever again unless its for Mayweather.

Sky have already cut boxing on the amount of boxing output that we get, there are less cards shown now, less promoters and now they are slipping back PPV. Fleecing *******s.

Remember Setanta were able to do Calzaghe's big fights without PPV. Setanta were going to do Haye/Wlad without PPV as well. As soon as Haye signed with Sky he was a Box Office fighter.
