This is an abysmal match up.

    It's Wood :patsch.

Do you think Matt Hicks is a good fight for Leapai at this stage of his career?

The K-1 affects one of the fighters named - what about the others?

If I was in charge of Alex's career then I would seek to make domestic fights worth something happen - but I am not so I wont. Why our current crop of HW boxers puts up with their bull**** management is anyone's guess? That's right - it's now about getting the easiest ride to a top 10 ranking - earned or not. :tired

Can't believe I'm saying this again, why I can't walk away who knows. Still hoping the 'penny' will drop one day.

International fighters have connections and a 'name'. You really telling me all these Aussie KB's have more boxing connections that Hicks?
In the boxing business sometimes the actual fight itself is secondary. Rarely can you land high level overseas fights beating parttime boxers.

Of course the mentioned KB's would fight Leapai, he is one of the biggest names in Aussie HW boxing, much like I am sure they would fight anyone with a name bigger than theirs.

    That is the business.

No arguement that the KB's may, and I said may, give Leapai a better fight than Hicks but fighting Hicks is a lot more benifical to Alex's career and if you can't see that I obviously can't help you.

You think these bull**** fights actually convey some legitimacy. :rofl
Not surprised that you poke your head in here - seems like Leapai and MDM feast on bums. I am telling you and the boxing public is telling you that we don't give a **** about the supposed "connections" that you imagine benefit you from fights like these.

Don't try and bull**** that this is some form of grand marketing plan or you are some worldly master strategist - it's bull**** matchmaking and nothing more. :deal

How much more parttime can opponents get than Mark's last 3 >>>

Damon Reed - 41 years old and had been retired for a year and a half.

Troy Weida - 39 years old, was retired 2005 to 2011, and has only beaten one opponent since 2004.

Rob Calloway - 42 years old, only won twice since 2008 and retired straight after fighting de Mori.

Mark de Mori has fought an endless list of parttimers and no hopers :patsch

But fighting KB's that want to have a box every now and again is legitimate?

Guess we will have to agree to disagree.

Oh that's right, you think Reed, Weida and Calloway are legitimate

    We'll never agree on that.

Think you will be surpised when you see the Reed fight, he came to fight. Weida was Weida and watching the Calloway fight I still think he would trouble all but the top 4 Aussie HW's.

Lets see if it pays off in 2013.

Who said they want to only box now and then? What is the case is that they stick with KB because Australia's current HW's are totally inactive or will only fight scrubs or underserved title shots.

Those same KB's will fight time and again every year and gather fans, earn cash and exposure the like of MDM can only dream of. That is the reality of Aussie HW's - a fast track to oblivion as far as the Aussie public is concerned.
