I would say there is maybe a 25% chance of that happening. But I would go with Mayweather. Too good and too complete. Especially at that weight.

Casa clearly proved himself better than Chico and didn't do much worse against Castillo than Floyd did the first time around. He sure as hell didn't get '****ed up' by either guy.

It'd have been an interesting fight. Mayweather's never dealt with a fighter of that style who was also in that class. All the same, he likely comes away with the win, but Casamayor would definitely have been a tricky opponent for him.

Your like a broken record that repeats various boxing terminology.

Casa on his best night gives Floyd the 2nd hardest fight behind Castillo. Castillo won close, but clear decisions against Casa, Floyds amatuer conqueror Johnston, and yes he beat Floyd. Floyd would of also struggled alot vs. Johnston, an equally skilled fighter as Casa. Casa beat Chico in the first fight almost as bad as Floyd did. I think Casa at his best was on Castillo's and Floyd's level back then.

The hole in your own theory is that each of Casa's fights with Corrales were very competitive, even the first one, and he lost to Freitas.

It is probably more accurate to say that Freitas and Corrales were on par with Casamayor.

Marquez beating two people and Floyd beating him (the conditions under which he did notwithstanding) says nothing about how he'd match up against those two people.

I have opinions and don't change them day to day. Do you have a legitimate problem with my post or are you part of the Floyd Defense Brigade?

At 130 lefties would give him more fits than now....so i could see this fight being an ugly one and one where he would probaly lose a couple rounds and would be competitive. Casa was very good at what he did in his prime and was very slick too...i still favor Floyd at this weight though he simply had it all and put it all together at this weight.

    8-4 for Floyd.

    Aye.

Also, while Casamayor gave a spirited effort there, he was pretty washed up by that point. Had been soundly beaten by Santa Cruz and taken to war against Katsidis. Hardly the version that should be matched up against Mayweather.

Casamayor was in marked decline - in a number of ways -when he fought Marquez, although he put in a really good effort. From a technical standpoint, that was a great fight for 4-5 rounds, a great display of counter punching ability. We are talking four years removed from Casamayor's peak in 2003/2004.

you know full well how pac operates and that every other ATG(e.g whitaker, duran) would have make a fool out of him in every fantasy fight and I see numerous classic posters agree all the time, why not floyd when he is in the same class as the examples I gave?

I kinda agree with you he was past his prime then and still he managed to hold his ground against a prime marquez, although in his prime I think the only difference would be is that he doesn't get knock out and probably go 2-1 against marquez in a trilogy fight. I can tell from their fight as I recall that he had the sharper and more accurate punches than marquez. Still not enough against floyd though as floyd can hurt him badly at the lower weights

Every other ATG beats Pac? I'd say that's a bit severe. Duran and Whitaker I'd definitely put my money on though. Floyd is also of very high caliber, you just can't assume he beats Manny or dominates Casa based on the Marquez fight. You can for other reasons.

Yeah, I see him getting walked down at that stage. Surviving the decision perhaps.

yeah pretty much everybody except for a few you can count on one hand, even a prime morales beats him lol. I didn't only assume floyd would beat them based on dominating marquez but also for alot of other reasons, specially at the lower weights where floyd was a beast
