    Ward is great and I like him but the main thing I see from the Froch fight gifs is Froch appalling footwork.

    His feet are so far apart, how can he have any good balance?

    Cheers to all those who have taken the time to give it a read, makes writing it up worthwhile :good

    I agree, that's pretty much the perfect way to sum up his style. You can see it will take someone very very special to beat him.

    Something I've really enjoyed seeing is how he completely bullied and went after Kessler and Froch, Kessler especially who I'm fairly sure was close to quitting in the fight, It's especially impressive to me given how I regard the two men on a really basic level, they're proper men, warriors, and Ward outmanned them both, I haven't seen anybody do it to either before or since, Ward is sometimes talked about as if he's a bit of a lightweight, pretty-boy type fighter, but he's as rough and tough as they come

    It's a powerful psychological weapon too, you can see in the ring they both looked defeated long before the final bell.

    Tbf, I don't think it is out of order to enjoy watching Rios fight more than Ward but I agree that too many fans dismiss Ward as boring. I find him more fascinating to watch than entertaining.

    I am too young to have watched Mayweather and Hopkins coming up and so I enjoy watching a newer technician coming through, seemingly still improving every fight.

    Excellent thread and a well thought out analysis. Ward very well might be the most complete fighter in the game. He can fight at all ranges with top notch footwork sound defense mentally tough and a high ring IQ. A true nightmare match up if there ever was one. I don't see him losing anytime soon just too good and compete.

    Ward did fought a great fight against Kessler,besides of all the headbutts,he had a great gameplan.BUT to even think that Kessler would QUIT,is crazy...He is a to proud.Kesslers corner was a disgrace,and so was the referee...And i am NOT trying to take anything away from Wards victory.Because he won that fight!
