Eddie Hearn could put on Hagler/Hearns on terrestrial tv with Ali/fraizer as support and offer a blowjob from a page 3 girl for anyone who watched and you would still whinge like a *****.

I know it hurts realising your hero, Eddie, isn't the sharpest businessman, but the pain will go. Let me run through this one more time.

After everyone praised Eddie for a great job getting Froch the fight in the UK, it now turns out he can't afford it. As a result he's using PPV, something all boxing fans should be against for a relatively unimportant rematch, to cover his losses.

How is that different to what Frank did for Khan-Prescott? It's appalling business sense and he's fleecing fans to achieve it.

His tactic with Bute was remarkably similar, except he got Froch to take the short money so he could compensate Bute. That was good business because Froch had no title, didn't generate a lot of money on his own, and needed something major to keep him on the scene. However, now Froch wants what he thinks he deserves and he just isn't a star.

Do you really think the undercard will be good when Eddie's got to cover the costs for his main event?

Froch got 500,000 or so viewers for his fight with Bute. How will a rematch of a fight barely anyone saw generate more than that?

Why are people so quick to defend PPV!?

Froch vs Kessler without pay per view, could get what..? lets be modest.

    10 Million viewers...?

Its all about market value in business.

10 Million viewers could strike some decent endorsement deals.

And if any promoter had the balls to commit to such a business move in the long run it would be more lucrative for fighters/sport and sponsors.

I think it could do 8-10 million viewers, considering Andy Murray vs Roger Federer Wimbeldon final did 10 Million viewers i think.

People need to give Frank ****** credit, he wanted to get boxing back on ITV.

i wouldn't mind (or wouldnt be totally against) paying the coin if it did have a bumper, quality undercard and as a one off. however, if it is after the champions league final then it will suck. 7.45pm start means it finishes at 9.40pm - not gonna allow much undercard time is it? also, what happens if it goes to extra time and pens? not gonna finish until atleast 10.30pm. that is what sky/hearn will be after - hype up the boxing during the final then casual fans might splash the cash. i certainly wouldnt pay £15 it is had a weak undercard.

i'm also hearing that as it is 50-50 co-promoted then their may be a bunch of sauerland fighters on the undercard? that would be a nightmare as well if that was true.

Haye sold his fights by going on mainstream media....that scouse drag artists chat show and the afternoon split arse moan fest and he was as charming as ****.....thats what got him his buys. Froch is about as charming as a kick in the slot and he would probably do more harm than good if he was daft enough to go mainstream

If the fight was in Denmark, it would be PPV in Denmark and UK. The gate in the UK is stronger than in Denmark anybody who thinks otherwise is clueless.

The fight makes more money in the UK. Thats why its here.

He'd want to put on a quality undercard for this.

Surely if it's going to be on PPV he can make an offer Quigg can't refuse.

    Frampton v Quigg
    Barker v Lee
