Most people weren't happy with Guerrero as an opponent for Floyd, so why is it ssuddenly a problem when it isn't true?

That was going to be my question...

That was going to be the second part of my question... Add him to the list of every active fighter ever who he never fought.

    Yup.

Typical fans who hate a fighter so much they lack consistency, so much so that they often sound ridiculous.

Um. ESB and other sites. You haven't noticed? All of the casuals and the Pacquiao avatar guys hate this fight, passionately, and think it's pathetic if it gets made.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. He really can't win over the fans, ever.

Exactly. A lot of people (who happens to actually follow Mayweather on Instagram and Facebook) want to see Floyd lose in the worst way, even in life in general. :verysad

From what I've read Mayweather/Guerrero isn't definitely not happening, so the thread title is misleading unless there some info I've not seen. Sure there are better fights for Mayweather (fights I'd prefer to see) but that doesn't, by default, make any other fight a mismatch.

    1. I am BUTTHURT about Floyd-Manny not happening. Do you REALLY think I want to see Floyd-Guerrero?!

    2. Aydin + Berto is NOT the road to Mayweather. We are tired of not seeing the best fight the best. Orlando Salido is the ONLY GOOD fighter on Guerrero's resume. Salido outclassed him. I know you can bring up the whole steroids thing, but people produce that in their bodies and sometimes it can show up as a result, and a top medical corporation did not find any suspicious results. Buy what you want from this, Salido > Guerrero any day.

Is Floyd under the impression that Casamayor is still in his prime or something? Beating a shot Casamayor like Guerrero did is not a ticket to Floyd Mayweather.

    STOP KIDDING YOURSELF YOU

    3. Timothy Bradley has earned his right more than anyone in 147. Beating Peterson and Alexander, as well as Miguel Vasquez in great style. Yes, it's not the most entertaining fight to watch, but it's a legit name in Mayweather's resume that I'll remember. This stage of Mayweather's career should NOT be about easy stoppage/UD paydays against MEDIOCRE fighters. It should be about legacy and trying to get up the ATG list.

    4. If Floyd beats Bradley, Canelo-Trout winner and a Pacquiao with the same performance output in Pac-JMM 4 with his confidence fully recovered having been in wars with the likes of Brandon Rios etc. Floyd will be VERY high up in everybody's all time rankings, and this is a HUGE possibility.

    Make it happen, Floyd.

Is Bradely really THAT much bigger of a fight?

He has some good wins and got a gift against Pacquiao.

I really dont see how fighting Bradley is really an infinitely better fight than Guerrero.

    1. Bradley also fought a shot Casa, I know. But so did Guerrero.

What I'm trying to say is that in order to fight the best, you need to have a good road to the best. Alexander, Vasquez and Peterson is a good road to Floyd...yes, there is a difference between that, and Aydin + Berto! Aydin is a silverweight title kid and Berto was owned by Ortiz, someone who Mayweather was convincingly in charge of.
    Bradley is an established name.

In an ideal world, Bradley should fight Guerrero to decide the fight, but for a May 4th fight, Bradley is still a good name on a resume.

This is the settling mentality you're possessing right now...i.e Guerrero isn't much better than Bradley. This seriously does not mean he deserves a Floyd fight.
