there is still alotta young bucks at 168 im sure are down to fight andre. eventually andre dirrell is going to get back in the ring and also his brother. tommy gun, edwin rodriguez. GGG saying he can move up to 168 then there is even more comp for him. if he wants to be doing this for the next 10 years then he should wait a minute to move up to 175.

Those would all be interesting, but they'd all be heavy dogs against SOG.

Not that I'd favor Golovkin or Kovalev, but they're bigger threats than anyone in the pipes at 168.

As much as i dislike Ward stylistically he ain't getting beat any time soon. I still think GGG poses the biggest threat, punchers chance

Your doing Golovkin a disservice by saying all he would have is a punchers chance. He has serious ring IQ. Wouldn't be an easy nights work for Ward by any stretch of the imagination.

Gennady would be too small at SMW, hes not a massive MW.
Kovolev is only known for one win, but is undefeated, and would be a good win. If Ward can get him to drop down to 168lbs, he will be the stronger fighter like he was against Dawson and unless Kovolev really cant make the weight, it would be a good option for him

Why did he duck Bute when he was undefeated?

He was in the Super Six for virtually the entire time Bute was undefeated & relevant. (unless you wanted him to step directly up from 10-rounders to face Bute while still a prospect, before the S6? :think)

When since its conclusion did Bute try to get him in the ring?

As soon as it concluded, Bute signed a 2-fight deal with Froch.

Then after losing to Froch he moves to light heavyweight.

Yeah, Ward ducked him alright. :!:

I think ward would handle GGG. If GGG is smart he will stay away from 168... there's no need. Simply become a king at middle and put together a reign.

    :good

Especially with Maravilla winding down. Perfect timing for Golovkin's rise.
