The third Bowe fight happened in 1995. The first Lewis fight happened in 1999.

Holyfield wasn't exactly just starting his career at the time, but he was absolutely fresher for Bowe than the Lewis fights, unless you think aging 3.5-4 years has a Benjamin Buttom effect.

Prime Holyfield, or back when Ibeabuchi was active?

    Either way, Holy UD.

    (but wider in his prime)

Whoa whoa whoa,Lewis hit harder than Bowe? Don't be so sure of that! Number one,you never fought Lewis or Bowe. Number 2,Holyfield said Foreman and Bowe hit harder than Lewis. Old Holyfield fought Lewis twice and wasn't dropped or staggered once.

Lewis chose to box? If you mean he chose to use a pawing jab and a bear hug as his main offense then yes you are correct.

Bowe stopped Holyfield once in 3 fights of 2 wins. And the fight was a brutal war,no easy feat for Bowe. Holyfield also gave Bowe his one loss.
And Holyfield was prime against Bowe. He didnt fight Lewis until years after.

This guy is a little confused. In 1999 Holyfield was past his prime and had already had his fill of glory. His last great win was Tyson in 1996. And even then he was past his prime and considered an underdog.
Holyfield was in many many wars.

Did you actually see the Bowe fight? Bowe hit him with everything he had and barely managed to knock him out. The fight was lost not because of Holyfield having a bad chin but because he was trying to go punch for punch with a much bigger guy.

I don't think Ike is a harder puncher or faster than Mike Tyson or Michael Moorer.

Out of context, it looks like I'm confused. The dude in front of me when I made that quote said Holyfield was not fresher for Bowe than he was for Lewis. He wasn't fresh really for either, but he was younger and fresher for Bowe than he was for Lewis. That is just a fact. Holyfield being old is the main reason he doesn't beat Ike if they fight in the late 1990s. Ike had already totally disrespected a much stronger, heavier puncher in Tua in close quarters, and cut off the ring and destroyed the much slicker, more active mover in Byrd than Holyfield was at that point.

Holyfield simply didn't have the legs or the power to box away from Ike for 12 rounds in the late 1990s and deal with the type of high tempo, powerful, educated assault Ike brings.

Holyfield had better chin than Lewis. If they went punch for punch and it went 12 rounds Holyfield would win. If Lewis boxed then he wins easy.

I did watch the fight, but you've expressed a number of ******ed opinions in the past, so I don't feel really inclined to argue with you, but whatever. Holyfield got faceplanted by Bowe. There was nothing "barely" about that KO. He blew his load trying to keep up with Bowe and slug it out in close quarters, and then Bowe broke him down and knocked him out. This is to a Bowe who got ravaged twice by Golota shortly thereafter.

In these hypothetical matchups, people confuse 1999 Holyfield for early 1990s/late 1980s Holyfield. Guess what? His legs and stamina were not what they once were back then. If Ike can cut the ring off and destroy the much more slippery Byrd, and overpower Tua in close quarters, there's nothing to suggest he couldn't catch up to and wear down a declining old man at that point, or that Holyfield packed enough firepower to keep him on the outside. Ike didn't hit as hard as Tyson, but Moorer? No way. Moorer was a blown-up light heavyweight who didn't possess anywhere near the same kind of power at HW than he did at 175. Ike had excellent power, and also had great stamina and workrate, in addition to freakish physical strength. Those all would have worked in his favor in a fight with an aging Holyfield.

Negative, Lennox hits way the **** harder than Holyfield. Holyfield gets broken down in close before Lennox, just like what happened with Bowe.

But, as I said, Lennox was a smart guy who minimized the risks he took in the ring. Why risk getting caught with a lucky punch when you can win by safe decision?

Michael Moorer punches like a ***** to be honest

1 out of 10 comparison, Ibeabuchi punches 100x harder than him

You make many good points. Perhaps Ike beats the older Holyfield but not prime Holyfield. The last time Holyfield was prime was maybe Bowe 1.
