shhhh, there are some guys on here that don't count such things in the scheme of wins & losses, if fact they would'nt even consider the 'facts' on the matter.

never-the-less this story is familar. :huh

...and fought 6 HOF'ers in his first twenty bouts: Gans, Corbett II, McGovern, Nelson, Lavigne, and McFarland.

He also left to pursue a vaudeville career.

I guess the immortal he beat to become champ was Battling Nelson, for the "White" LW title?

BINGO S, it is Jimmy Britt who kod Kid Lavigne in his THIRD bout, then fought Frankie Erne, Young Corbett , dropped Joe Gans 4 times but was disqualified for hitting Gans while on the canvas, beat Battling Nelson for the LW title, ND with Terry McGovern, and fought the great Packey McFarland in his first 20 bouts...Britt then retired and became a song and dance man in show business, his true love..He must have been a helluva fighter...:good

His knockout loss to Nelson is one of the most brutal Ive ever seen. When his cornermen pick him up off the canvas his head lulls to the side drunkenly, his mouth opens and blood poors out.

23 bouts, but did he meet the other criteria?

What branch of show business did he later break into? :yep

Also, the numbers don't add up.

    Four champs:

    Pintor
    Meza
    Fenech
    Rojas

Only one of them (Fenech) is in the IBHOF - although you could argue maybe Pintor ought to be.

Rojas, btw, got knocked out by none other than Herman Ngoudjo. :D
