True, but that was Andy Lee. A prime top ten middleweight for whom the late Steward had done lots of work fine-tuning since the Vera loss.

Dzinziruk is a man without a weight class (not very strong at middle, but hasn't made junior middle in three years) who's looked crappy since he moved up - with the exception of a rally in the 7th against Martinez.

Dizzy won't be able to hurt Vera, but Vera likely can buzz Dizzy. There will be a couple of rounds in which Dizzy lands more but Vera lands harder.

It's a close scrap. I'm putting 100 vcash on Vera simply because he's the underdog.

A little over. It is the FNF headliner.

A lot has happened since I felt Dzin. was the rightful #1 JMW in the world (not because he was great but because everyone else had a void resume there, at the time).

I could be wrong, but I don't think Vera can get him out of there.

    Unlikely..

Am i alone in thinking that Vera is terrible! It seems like i'm the only one who sees 6 losses vs very ordinary fighters for the most part!

I don't know, he fought a rough, bullying fight when he beat Mora (then again, I was in the minority and felt Mosley beat Mora 9-3 while Mora fought one of the least visually pleasing fights in history).

But yeah, I think he's very ordinary. Dzin. has little power though, so theoretically there's a really good chance that he can bulldog Dzin. around the ring while Dzin. throws his non-committal one-two's with his head erect and stationary... yeah, I said it!

I expect Vera to outwork and outhussle a Dizzy that looks to just not have the needed ingrediants anymore. I think Veras shots will look well to the judges as I dont expect Dz will be hard to find and I think V's rough swarming will win him a fight on the cards.

    Just imo

Unlike Barker or Macklin,Dzin hasn't looked good post Sergio could be age catching up. His formidable jab wasn't the same. If Vera makes him brawl and fight his fight Vera should edge it. Vera is a tough one, but lacks power. Vera by MD. Vera could be a gatekeeper.

I just looked up the boxrec of Tony Luis just minutes after the KO and it already shows tonight's KO. Anyone know how they do it? Is it automated from the venue?
