Ridiculous. Lewis (who already beat him), Ali, Tyson, Holmes, Holyfield, Foreman, Frazier....Vitali is not walking through that list without a loss (another) or two, or three. He is beating up guys who have no business fighting for the heavyweight championship. He is beating unskilled, out of shape, or undersized guys. And yes, there are 210-220 pound heavies who were skilled enough, or hard enough to make it competetive with Vitali. H2H he matches up well in a fantasy all time sense, but no way he beats every great from history. The only atg he fought beat him regardless of primes or whatever. There are a lot of just good champs and contenders from the past who would be live dogs against him. This guys dominance over a very very weak resume is blurring perspective. He beats a lot, but takes losses for sure.

 

I imagine Vitali would beat the likes of Dempsey, Johnson, Joe Louis, Marciano, Joe Frazier and many other top HW's in history. He would get beaten by the likes of Holyfield, Ali, Holmes, Lennox Lewis, obviously Chris Byrd as well. I would also pick a peak '92 Riddick Bowe to beat Vitali. Vitali v Mike Tyson would have been a great fight though, as well as Vitali v George Foreman

 

Imagine Vitali dropped into the 90's....Holyfield, Tyson, Lewis, Old Foreman, Old Holmes, Bowe, Golota, Mercer, Ruddock, Tucker ,Tua, Morrison, Hide, Byrd, Rahman, Ibeabuchi, Bruno, Briggs, McCall, Akinwande, Grant, Botha, Witherspoon, Ruiz, Tubbs, Biggs, Seldon, Donald.........yeah he smokes some of them.....but does anyone honestly believe Vitali would dominate all those contenders and become a long reigning champion if dropped into that pool of talent (some much more than others)....pretty tough task.

 

Does Tua have an iron chin? I think everyone would say yes.
Tua was knocked down in the ams by a punch. I think the fact that you have to go back over TWO DECADES, to a KICK TO THE FACE, to try and prove Vitali doesn't have a chin, that proves otherwise.

Byrd beat Vitali and he wasn't a big heavyweight at all. Whether you think Vitali would have won or not, you can't deny that Byrd was making him miss and landing at will.

If Byrd could have success, theres no debating that Ali, Louis and Frazier would have had more success.

yes Byrd beat Vitali, and he was making him miss a lot, but he was also losing the fight pretty widely on the cards, Vitali has always had problems with slick and good technical fighters (due to his somewhat robotic and unorthodox style), but he's never been behind on the cards, and the facts are, that his only 2 losses came as a result of injury

 

Marciano trained down to 189. If he were to fight Klitschko, I am certain he would come in at a higher weight.

 

Vitali would be nothing more then a contender in the 90's , even 80's. Dan is moron if he thinks this.
