O'Mahoney would be my bet, iv read his books and all the essex boys books etc nd if i had to say who it was i would go with O'Mahoney
Mick Steele and Jack Whomes are innocent. O'Mahoney even said on his own website that "he knows 100% who killed them but it's not up for him to say" and also on his "Gangsters: Faces of the Underworld" DVD that was released late last year he is talking about how Pat Tate was begging for his life and when asked "how do you know all this?" he lets out a little laugh and says "I just do" Weird ****, truth will come out one day though.
This guy O'Mahoney. Are people saying he's written books that tend to suggest that he is responsible ?? That's kind of unusual for a hardened criminal, but possible. If true, he must really want people to know he's a bad mother****er. The BBC programme definitely seemed to suggest Ken Noye was a major suspect in this.
I don't think the "essex boys" even get a mention in Benn's terribly naff and chavvy autobiography, but Carlton Leach talks about Benn's time with Tucker and Leach in his own "hard man bollocks" autobiography. No good stories though, iirc.
There are 3 films that I know of: Essex Boys - Not very accurate Rise of the Footsoldier - briefly examines the gang. Bonded by Blood - haven't seen. I believe a new film is on the way.
